This car survival kit is what I carry for emergencies here in Michigan. I post videos like this to offer ideas and inspiration - not instructing others on what to do and have. Every situation is different, and the survival gear you carry is a personal choice and decision.
I failed to show what I keep up in the cab. I keep a separate tourniquet (Within reach while behind the wheel), first aid kit, window breaker, seat belt cutter, and a flashlight. I also have gloves, paper & pen, a knife, chargers and things like that.

Its hard for people online to understand that our kits should be based on what we actually need, not what they think we need lol. Good job alot of thought and experience went into this.
Thanks, it's true. If every kit was the same it would work only a fraction of the time for a fraction of the people.
I love this, I get teased all the time because I have survival gear in my car.
When you need it you'll have it. Funny how no one laughs at a fire extinguisher or smoke detector. See who gets the last laugh. 🙂

Good video, very well prepared. I drive an F-350 with a camper top and I carry very similar items. Miami, Florida here.

Another Michigander here. Im also a Medic. Just wanted to let you know Narcan is not supposed to freeze so you may want to move that part to a part of your kit you bring in regularly. Take Care.
Thanks Daniel, I had no idea. I took a class, but that was a year ago. Those have probably frozen several times over so I throw it out. I have more in my first aid pack so I'll keep a couple in my lunch tote. It won't freeze in there. I appreciate that neighbor. 🙂

Dude, thats not exactly a "small portable floor jack"
It's the smallest floor jack I've seen, way smaller than the two sitting in my garage. It does take up more space than a bottle jack but works better and feels safer. Admittedly, it could be considered a little overkill. 🙂
Any idea where to find the pouch you pulled out at 3:40?
I don't see that exact pouch any more but this one on Amazon is very similar.
