    What if you have 4 ram sticks? Does it do it for all 4 on profile 1?

  • @aquickfoo4256
    @aquickfoo4256 Рік тому

    Whys that a thing. Makes me mad. What if my other two ram sticks are at 3000mhz. Is there any other tweaks i have to manually make or its fine with this? First 2 at 3200, other pair at 3000.

    • @starrims
      @starrims  Рік тому +1

      Mix matching is generally a bad idea and could leave quiet a performance/bandwidth on the table. 3000 & 3200 isn’t the problem, but if they don’t share exact same memory chip and same variation from same vendor (samsung, hynix, micron) you can never sync them to work together.

    • @aquickfoo4256
      @aquickfoo4256 Рік тому +1

      @@starrims i just read it can can cause performance issues to mix two ram pairs that are clocked at different frequencies and that dont have similar clock cycles. Also in my case the max ram mhz would be 3000 completely ignoring the rest since it will only priorities the common frequency between the pairs.

    • @starrims
      @starrims  Рік тому

      @@aquickfoo4256 Yes frequency first, then timings, then sub 100s of sub-timings, it is why RAM comes with Kit 😅
