George you're a man of courage, I'm glad you've explained this to me here.
I don't agree with George's politics, but he is extremely insightful when he comes to most things, especially Trump and his poodle, Pence.
George Will is a man of integrity, honest and grounded. If only my sister, Laura Ingraham, could find the same level of reality.
This is why a serious question has to be asked to the people who vote for these types of politicians. This idea that they're just "good" people who were fooled shouldn't be blindly accepted.

If you asked people to make a decision to buy car insurance most would not purchase it. States require every person who owns a car to purchase car insurance. You cannot buy a car without ca insurance. You should not be able to visit a doctor if you are not covered and if you don't you should be held accountable for that debt. So, yes, healthcare should be mandatory.
However you cut it, George Will is a brilliant and perceptive conservative -- thinks and goes beyond popular pre-established categories.
I'd say he's brilliant precisely for the opposite reason, he's ideologically consistent and intellectually rigorous. He remains well within the framework of traditional American conservatism at all times, I've been following his work for over 20 years now. Unlike undisciplined and ignorant so-called Conservatives, George Will understands the bedrock of the philosophy.
I never thought I would applaud George Will ! But he really hits the nail on the head in this interview.

I don't always agree with George Will but I'm a fan of his because I'm a fan of reasoned intelligent argument.
I'm a liberal and I agree, he is reasonable and informed.
I'm liberal too yet have always giving grudging respect to Will because he knows how to construct and argument and bring facts and historical perspective to bear on the argument. He is definitely from the William Buckley school of conservatism. Now what passes as an argument from conservatives is just mere declaration followed by name calling and attacks.

George Rusch Anyone who calls out Stephen Miller as an enemy of the Constitution can't be all bad, whereas anyone who would allow the likes of Miller even near the Oval Office... is clearly an enemy of all that America stands for.

While I do appreciate GW’s comments at this time, if we’re on the subject of who is responsible for Rs being led by Trump perhaps GW should reflect on the part he played; how he attacked virtually everything Obama did or said; how he treated Obama as if he was a real danger to America. Will wrote an excellent article about the 2nd most dangerous man in America.
Although I don't always agree with him, I enjoy listening to wills perspective . I learn something that is opinionated, but mainly factual with a consistent foundation of history and political science . We need more cerebral commentators and less screaming spin doctors . We do get more of this on msnbc, as opposed to cnn or fox news. But I watch cnn for a bit of entertainment mixed in. And I watch fox news, mainly to see how issues get spun, but then I get so dizzy, I return to msnbc for some stability and sanity.

I'm not particularly concerned about any immediate effect on my country, but on the world and even on the planet we -- and Americans, bless 'em -- call home.
