Kasparov would only play 30 people at most an none could be over 2000 rated. Capablanca played all comers as many as 350 people over 70 boards with impressive results. He would almost always move instantaneously, and much of the time moving pieces on two boards at once. Alekine said that Capa could give anyone in the world 5 to 1 time odds and win. At his death said, "Capablanca was snatched from the chess world much too soon. With his death, we have lost a very great chess genius whose like we shall never see again."
The thing is, amateurs were much worse players in Capablanca's time than in Kasparov's time. For example, a 2000 rated player of today would probably be in the top 50 in 1914, when this game was played.
My old computer tought 5:22 minutes Capablanca-Reti game move and solved! Same computer tought only 4:37 minutes Kasparov-Keamnik game move and solved! The computer telling the truth Capablanca better than Kasparov! M
Morphy Tal Alekhine Kasparov had More beautiful games than Fischer! Fischer beat the weakest chess World champion Boris Spassky only 17 wins 10 losses! Capablanca would beat Spassky easily 8 wins 6 draws zero losses! Carlsen would beat Spassky easily 6 wins 6 draws zero losses! The highest tournament elo rating score is Fabiano Caruana 8,5/10 StLouis elo 3080! Karpov 11/13 Linares 1994 elo score 3040! Alekhine in San Remo 1930 elo score 3040! Fischer and Kasparov their Best tournament scores only 2990! Karpov has won over 160 super grand Master tournaments! Fischer won zero only inter zonals 1962 1970! Fischer was Second in Santa Monica 1966 behind blunder maker Spassky! Fischer did not won Havanna 1965! 1960-1970s there were no the top Ten players tournaments! That is why Fischer did not win those!!
Fischer said Capa was super sharp in the middle game taking and advantage before transposing to a winning ending where the advantage though small was enough for him to win
You can't reasonably compare players of different eras. There's no way of knowing how each would perform with the different levels of theory, competition, and so on.
I dont think Capablanca's success was based purely on some kind of strategy. if it was, then others could simply replicate the strategy. but that's never happened
Capa makes us feel we can all play like him. But we cannot...
So true!
None of us are playing Nxd7
..perhaps we can try at baseball instead..?
Perfect.

Say what people will, I still put Capablanca above Garry Chess and feel confident putting him below only Fischer
2500

Capa was the truest genius of chess. Another great video!
His silent moves are what I admire the most. Magnus also does them on occasion.
Thanks ChessDawg, Capa my favorite!!
That's really cool. I've never really seen many Capablanca games. Just the game where he defends against the marshall gambit
Pleased to say I saw Qe5 at a glance. Also, I always think ChessDawg looks like an astronaut... i think it's the hair and shirt.
Genius at work.
Thanks a million for these wonderful chess history gems (and turning ’em into such great lessons!), chess dawg!
Fischer said Capa was super sharp in the middle game taking and advantage before transposing to a winning ending where the advantage though small was enough for him to win
Great game, Capa keeps it simple but still uses complex tactics when he needs to!
Very instructive game. Thank you very much.
I wish I could play the end game as brilliantly as Capablanca.
Absolute precision
more from Capablanca please
Excellent.
The Dawg is the Man! Wonderful Capablanca...Didn't need a Chess Bot
Beautiful game 😀
Casablanca would have been a great chess teacher and trainer.
Lovely game by the Cuban. His opponent played admirably.
Brilliant game by Capa
Great! Thanks
No wonder his games influence many world champion
If only Capablanca had spent time studying openings.
Aron nimzowitch vs capablanca caro khann
Black could have been Benito Villegas? He went on to be a chess master.
subtle stuff
Capablanca>Fischer >Karpov> Carlsen.

He meant probably talent wise.

Capablanca is the most underrated super GM in history
Absurd. He's constantly talked about as being one of the greatest players.
For me is the greatest...... But he's been in the top 4 all time....... ( The machine))....
There are only two people I felt that have magic in their play: Capablanca and Alekhine. Funny thing is that they are bitter rivals.

YAAAS! 👁️👄👁️
Why do the players and chess dawg ignore Qh7 at 7:18?
