Thank you. I've recently discovered Lichfield and Hatherton Canal through comments such as yours. It is good to see that canal restoration is thriving in different parts of the country. Mark
Thank you. Yes, we are lucky. We have dug test pits along the next part and the soil there is different. We hope to have enough clay left over to use as a liner where we need to.
This is great another part of the canal done, just recently discovered the H&G Canal on youtube and look forward to more updates as the canal progresses, what I love about the canal's not only they're good for people to use , but also with the tow paths become walking / running places for local community and also great habitat for animals & aquatic species and of course Birds.
Keep them coming!😀
I just found this channel through watching Lichfield and Hatherton Canal videos.
Great to have another canal restoration channel to watch.

So lucky to have clay type soil that will hold the water. You must be saving a fortune on liners. Looking forward to seeing the canal progress.

It is very much our intention to create a wildlife corridor and leisure facility for the local community.
