- Alright folks, here's another RAW with the chest mounted GoPro. I think it's a cool camera angle, but the next RAWs will be the "classic" chin mount again.
The awsome sound, is caused by a missing gasket from the exhaust pipe of the rear cylinder...it is fixed already(the police stopped me recently because of the somewhat "good" sound :D).

I test drove one of these yesterday with an arrow exhaust. The sound, the rider comfort, the torque, the seating position is absolutely amazing. Its like a dirt bike and sport bike and engine wise like a big tuned harley motor.

What a beautiful bike man ! Plz tell me how is the fuel consumption ? Is it too expensive to maintenance the Shiver? And can you find spare parts in 2021? I am asking because i want to buy one ! Thanks man and always ride safe ! ! 💪💪
Thanks! In the 25.000km I rode mine, I never had any serious issues with the bike. I did the maintenance myself btw....but on the shiver is nothing extraordinary that any other bike not also have. Spare parts shouldn't be a problem. As far as I know, all the parts are still available from aprilia directly. Last but not least the consumption: 5.0-5.8l/100km on mine.

@@AthanEvans probably a bit more in the city. But I wouldn't recommend this bike for slow speed stuff anyways, because of the heat it produces.
Is this the stock exhaust because it sounds better than mine lol also what mode do you ride it in? I normally always use S - Sport mode
I cheated a bit...a gasket from the exhaustpipe got blown out... :D
I normally ride in Sport Mode.

Ride over a gravel road at high speed...or simply remove it by taking the whole exhaust system apart😁
But I wouldn‘t recommend you ride like this for to long...the engine probably runs kinda lean🤨
which drive mode are you in? Looks quite smooth while cornering.
I was in sport mode. It looks smooth because I had 2 years to get used to it.😅
Damn almost make me want gasket delete the exhaust pipe hahah
The bike was so loud, my Zoom H1 clipped the audio. I had to use my phone to record this😂
I'm in a dilemma of buying a shiver or an f800r. I really want the Shiver but some forums claim that she's unreliable and that concerns me alot.
I've had mine from 16.000km to 39.000km and the only issues where a starter relais, 2 exhaust gaskets and the steering head bearing at 32.000km. But as I said in the other comment, the F800R is easier to ride than the Shiver.
@@StromerUA-cam I bet the Shiver through the mountains will be so much more fun though
@@Nazgull92 I wouldnt say so! The suspension of the shiver is just to stiff in the rear, the BMW is much plusher. Fuel consumption is also lower and the BMW Engine is just as fun as the Shiver Engine. I would testdrive both I was in your situation.
@@StromerUA-cam I think that would sort out my concerns for the most part. But I doubt f800 can beat the Shiver sound

Stock! But back then, a gasket from the exhaust system was missing due to vibrations.... :D
