    Fantastic. Just a quick safety note for viewers. Be careful that there is no moisture what so ever in the mold before pouring the metal, the heat will turn it to steam which can fling the molten metal out of the mold. 😱

      Perhaps another function of the baby powder!

    • @lordmaddrox
      @lordmaddrox 2 роки тому +3

      @@loop78 even tho that would soak up the moisture it could stick to mold instead of fall off , unless that powder is removed it will still hold moisture that will react to the metal so it would be still advised to make sure its as dry as possible before the pour.
      In a bag or container with rice and silica packets are a nice way to draw that moisture out over night is what i do to help make sure for those situations

    Hello. I'm an artist who uses molds to make jewelry and you just described exactly my process 😂. Except I didn't know that petroleum jelly could be used as a mold release! Thank you so much for the tip.
    One thing finicky about mold max 60 is that the amount of A and B must be exact. I once added 2 grams more of B and my cure time increased from 1 day to 2 😂. Ahhh making mistakes is the best way to learn.
    Anyways thank you for your wonderful video! It made me giggle 🙂

    Crafsman, these are gorgeous! While I am from Georgia and am guilty of saying "pecan" the wrong way, I still love the idea of using one for jewelry. I've been watching your videos for some time and haven't commented much, but I truly respect what you do. Thank you for a wonderful channel!

    You are the best, Crafsman!! So creative, positive, and HILARIOUS!! I couldn't believe it when I realized your friendly patter had become the lyrics of Mr. Jones! Your content and outlook are truly delightful. Thank you for sharing with us! 😃

    I like crafts, but rarely make anything ‘decorative’. But I like to learn new techniques because you never know when it might be used in another way. And, of course, if you are doing something for someone, and they WANT decorative, then decorative becomes utilitarian.
    And lastly, watching you, Mr. Crafsman, makes me relax. Certainly will lower anyone’s blood pressure.

    My great uncle had pecan trees in his back yard, and each time we’d visit him (Georgia) he would always send us home with a few bags of pecans. See what you did Crafsman? A steady craftin video about making jewelry from pecan molds brought back some great memories. And a lot of laughs on top of it. Thank you Crafsman.
