This must be the first time where transmission doesn’t break
that 20mm would actually be super useful
It was requested a lot, but gaijin said there was no use in game for a coax 20mm. Then they added several French tanks with a 20mm coax and they where useful as shit, and they've ignored requests for the centurion's ever since.
literally every Tank's ever engine: *i want to die.*
'prepare drinks'
I think you mean tea good sir
I would like that 20mm pollster cannon
People have been asking for it for 4 years now, I've given up hope on gayjoob foldering a new cent mk1 with the 20mm just after the old one, so britain actually has a 5.7 lineup.
@@benfennell6842 What makes it worse is they told us it would have no use in game when they first added the cent, then later added them for france on a couple of their tanks and started ignoring the requests for it on the cent.
"The Centurion Mk10 has a max ammo stowage capacity of 68 rounds"
*We were on the verge of greatness, we were this close*
I'm pretty sure the muzzle brake wasn't the cause for the APDS inaccuracy, because the 77mm hv fired the same projectile with the same muzzle brake without accuracy issues.
Love the Vid Spooks, just one thing to add, the Merit Brown Transmission was not difficult to use, just required the driver to be very physical and sort of "Man-handle" the tank. Otherwise the Centurion Steered beautifully!
I think by dificult he meaned that it took more force to use and with that the driver get tired way quicker
Finally a reliable tank
That was the one of the main design points, they wanted a tank that could drive itself to the battlefield, it might need a convoy of other tanks and fuel trucks, but that's easier than building a railway lol
I love the centurion, great video man
Anything historically inaccurate: exists
Spookston:
In addition to regaining a crew member, British tanks may also be able to use a tea kettle to heal damaged crew members
When you realize just how much more effective in game half the tanks would be if they were realistic. Like goddamn britain would use tea to stoically win every single match
"Why are all the brits camping at the back of the map again?"
"waiting for the Germans and Russians to get thirsty and go home of course"
1:59 so it finally turns out that tea time is officially true in centurion lol
War Thunder when Game Theory made their video: *Realism is important to the experience*
War Thunder now: *Q U E U E T I M E S*
Sir we don't have enough fuel!
Slap a wheelbarrow with fuel in the back ffs!
Yes.
We can't hold enough napalm for the flamethrower!
Put it in a trailer behined the tank!
British problems require British solutions
1:52 *Meanwhile in the heat of battle* Ah, yes, teatime... spiffing.
Centurion with 20mm polsten should just be a take on its own
At first I thought the 80km range at 0:15 was gun range, and I was confused how that would be abysmal.
In reality, whenever Cents met Russian/Soviet armour, it kicked their arses.
HESH would work again for a start, and have a HE effect.
1:57
Don't forget crew buff during tea time
1:58 dont lie, its mainly to keep the tea warm
1:52 cuppa tea time
The Ammo capacity issue was most commonly fixed by British crews carrying two extra shells on the outside of the tank, thought this was rarely necessary because everyone knows you die in 1 shot if you load full ammo.
The tea would make the shells actually penetrate, not get stuck in a track
when a tank need a wheelchair
We all know that bubbling isnt the tea
Can't go far but you can enjoy your tea getting there.
1:43 t 34/85 are used today poopston think
A41/FV4007 is incorrect. A41 only applied to the A41 prototype. The A41* was the Mk.I and A41A was the Mk.II.
The Centurion Mk.3 was the FV4007 and the beginning of the FV4000 series.
Wait, a tank without engine/transmission/suspension reliability problem? I’LL TAKE YOUR ENTIRE STOCK
That's basically what happened. Widely regarded as one of the most successful tanks ever made, and Certainly the most successful for export that Britain ever made. It was a damn shame that Britain didn't fund more of Vickers export designs before they where rolled into BAE. They had some impressive designs in their time, and could have made Britain a lot of money through export.
