It's wild to me that Havoc goes to 40 but doesn't start at damnation. What a waste of time. Luckily fatshark will be able to learn from this before rolling out a similar system in a game like Vermintide 2. It would be silly to learn this lesson twice

The main issue is not "more difficulty -> meta shows more". The issue is too much stuff not being remotely viable. Even in a coordinated team, you CANT rely on others to have a role (horde clear/carapace kill/boss killer), you need to be able to do it all. Else, the second one of the role dies or even simply disconnects, the whole team is at risk. So in the end, the issue is that EVERYONE has to be an "all-rounder". That is why DS4 is currently meta. Is doesn't excel at boss killing (like a Crucis) nor excels at horde clear (like a power sword), but it's great at everything (+ simply running. Who the F enjoys negative sprint modifier on weapons). And that's why Ogryn struggles even more. There is not a single all-rounder Ogryn build. You're always sacrifying something to do another. They need to get RID OF USELESS PASSIVES on the tree, and mostly balance the weapons, either remove DS4 one tapping crushers & mutants, or make it so most heavy weapons can do it too. (the new melees are dissapointing tbh)
I've been saying for a while that DS4 can be nerfed without making it feel like shit by making its heavy thrusts staged, like the rapier's are in VT2, essentially making thrust a built-in feature. Make it do the same damage but slow down that damage output.
@@TinyGreyOwl VT2 still has a few problems but nowhere near as much as DT. The axes all suck and sword + dagger is ridiculous but the highs and lows aren't as extreme as Darktide. Fatshark just refuses to learn their lessons
@@sulphuric_glue4468 I reckon a simple 0.3sec "stick" in carapace armour would be enough. A few milliseconds to pull the blade out of the thick armour makes sense and slows down the damage output. Most people 2 or 3 stab crushers. As u miss a stab or fail to proc everything sometimes.
I main ogryn and zealot. The ogryn other two classes are just not enough. They up the ai director and difficulty, you need to kill things fast on high difficulty. Gunlugger eats all the ammo, feel no pain is just a worst version of melee without damage. Idk if there is a room for a tank class with how intense the game is and how powrful gunners/shooters are right now. Its easier to charge in and kill them. The new ogryn guns show how crap obese dolphin is. Im not going to sit back and fire 20 shots into 20 random gunners when i can charge in with my team mates and kill them all. Now the psykers can help too with the new sword. Ogryn abilities are just so crap, even the rock get outclassed when you have the kickback and pickaxe that can one shot specialists. I always take frag bomb in case the team slips up, box of nades is just so underwhelming. Class needs alot of work

People have been gaslighting saying "Ogryn is fine, you're just bad" and I've even seen people on the forums advocating for nerfs to things like the Kickback because it is "overpowered" and "you have the heavy stubber now for long-range so the kickback needs to be nerfed". Absolutely wild
The amount of coping I've seen on reddit is insane, some people are unable to accept that ogryn is the weakest class and that he needs buffs and not nerfs
Same experience on the discord, it really is a circle jerk fest each time I am remotely critical even if I sugarcoat it and invite a healthy conversation, these people are glazing beyond belief. They were basically saying we (who are disappointed by the Ogryn lack of skill tree buff) are dramatizing every and such. But like the talent tree is dogshit and has very few choice variety wise imho. Anyways. Really weird to see it. They are oftentimes really mean and I think sometimes so insufferable that only those type of people remained and now the discord is full of those since they pushed other personnalities and opinions away, they seem more monolithic than other communities such as UA-cam by example. Very strange.
@ it feels like this in every game nowadays, a new update comes out and people have criticisms, but people just shut it down like game devs are all powerful gods who can never make mistakes, and not people who can fuck up an update sometimes.
"The motivation behind the changes isn't to buff or nerf Ogryn but to make the layout of the tree and the pathing for certain things more sensible. Coherency regen related things near the top, ranged stuff in the ranged tree, the better talent (R&R) behind the weaker one (pacemaker) to reward point investment, etc. Shortterm problem is that Ogryn needs/deserves a lot of other stuff, actual buffs and improvements, and they ain't here hopefully yet fingers crossed but no promises" - Hank in Mr T's Darktide General. My understanding is that it was an organization change that happened first before any actual buffs came out
Locking good passives behind intentionally bad passives to force the player to waste points in an already extremely strict skill tree isnt good design. They can call it "point investment" but it feels more like wasting. Moving coherency to the top makes sense but pacemaker being bad, being aware that its bad, and moving it in front of a GOOD perk solely just to... be in the way? What the fuck?
If this is true, someone still needs a kick up the backside for a) not explaining the reasoning ahead of time, and b) not buffing before the reorganisation of the skill points. This is yet another example of Fatshark (and its play testers) being tone deaf.
Wtf does "reward point investment" mean????? Am i on crazy pills or did I start irl roleplaying an Ogryn? I have to take a worse talent to get the same results and I'm supposed to feel rewarded?
The fact havoc lvl 1 is sedition is so pointless. Especially, since havoc is supposed to be auric maelstrom +1-40. Or at least that’s how it should be. As far as gunners being super deadly. Ranged suppression is useful from the vet. The 2h power sword is a solid option too.
Relic blades on zealot have awoken a new love for the game for me, idk what it is but cutting shit down with it makes me feel so cool. Also, error 9999 has ruined my day. Relic sword made auric damnation feel like pre school
I understand the decision to not have normal matchmaking for Havoc, but does it really matter if the randoms are from Party Finder if theyre still randoms? You already have to go to a seperate terminal to qeue into Havoc, i think thats enough. Idk. Maybe they just wanna get value from their party finder system, which is fair considering it was basically dead on drop before Havoc released.
You can see the class of the person youre inviting, as well as their havoc level. You really want to tailor your group in this mode, since auras dont stack among other things
Speaking as a tier 4 player mostly ... Ogryn feels like absolute shit to use right now. A single elite gunner can gun down your shield in 2 seconds flat. Ogryn's health is nothing after that. The class desperately needs more speed, and some kind of resistance against gunfire. I'd honestly just give him a built in -50% damage against ALL gunfire. With the gunner spam, they did not need a buff to their damage at long range. Yes you can take the new heavy stubber, but then you aren't even playing an Ogryn. You're a slow, fat veteran.
I think they need like, a 25% speed boost. It makes no sense that a 5’4” zealot can completely gap the 8 foot tall ogryn. Half the time, the enemies are dead before i get there- the other half, im dead before i get to the enemies.
1:48 "I have cooled down a little bit about this" *takes a breather, clearly not cooled down about it* I don't know if that pause was intentional or just a coincidence, but it cracked me up a lot
@@MisterEtide the theory i've heard is its a bad mission seed, so they'd have to either wait a week for everybody to get new seeds at the unlocked level, regrind a new host, or wait for fatshark to sort it out.
Still can’t get over hearing Stardew Valley in the background, for a video about a game that takes place in the grim dark future of the 41st millennium.
It's unfortunate that (at least in Oceania servers) party finder never has anyone on it. And I don't want to join a Discord and talk to strangers just to get a few extra modifiers on my missions y'know? I feel that forcing Havoc behind Party Finder instead of equipping it with a Quick Match queue is just so Fatshark can make Party Finder look more popular. It feels artificial as there is no real reason to have it in place. And they could've done it so much better, instead of making someone start a party that very few people will ever see as it is completely optional, why not automatically put everyone into a party before the Havoc game starts so we can communicate and coordinate our builds and classes then? Anyways keep feeding me this Slop, I can never have enough
Havoc at higher levels requires so much coordination that i think quickplay would be complete cancer. Imagine that it autofills you into a team of 4 psykers, and if you leave you lose one of your attempts. Im pretty sure party finder was created with this mode in mind since you need to be selective in which classes and tools you bring.
@@MisterEtide I get that, but couldn't it queue players into parties automatically instead of making players going to the submenu and work out the filters? If the game automatically paired people into parties before games than classes and builds can be worked out then.
Once again in "Why isn't it just like Vermintide 2?" they just drop you in a squad before literally any mission barring quickplay and thus give you a chance to talk shop/size up your teammates before everyone agrees to start the round. So why don't they just do that.
It's tough because I feel that PHS modifier was intended to try to encourage players to bring more crowd control, which would redound to better ogryn representation... except ogryn is worse at crowd control than the other 3 classes. It would be nice to be able to take the class into a stack just for the sake of variety and not feel like you're griefing.
Haven't gotten to play the new update yet and won't have the time for a bit but I've got a bit of an obscure question for those who have- how does the new moonlight (I mean force) greatsword's projectile attack work against those enemies with damage reduction vs range? Is it considered a melee attack for damage purposes or is it counted as a ranged attack like I'm assuming the other psyker abilities are? Also is it and the zealot 2h sword any good? Even if they're not meta, are they at least fun to use and not bugged to shit? Cause those greatswords are the things I'm most excited about and I'm really hoping to not be disappointed by them. I just wanna swing a big sword and be happy
A modifier that made it very punishing to let certain enemies within melee range might be a solution to the dueling sword meta but then again this is warrhammer
Here's my idea for why Ogryn stuff was shuffled. I believe FS thought Reloaded & Ready was too accessible and too strong for non Ranged builds that used the Kickback. +15% damage basically being constantly activated anytime you were shooting should be something Luggers specialize in, rather than a Meleegryn being able to become such a ranged powerhouse with Kickback for 1 point. I don't think its arbitrary, and I actually agree with the reasoning. Idk about the other stuff, and the top Lugger side should still get a ranged theme talent rather than Aura radius. Restricting Big Boom to Lugger sucks, it being a choice instead of a path sucks, Pacemaker sucks as a talent and even more so now that you have to path through it in some scenarios.
Yesterday, I played the havoc as vet with maccabian and bolt pistol and I had comparable damage, despite playing more support-wise. The problem is that average players will try to run meta builds, which in itself is fine, but many of them are very specific on how you play them. I already saw many TH zealots who didn't even know about the special attack, hitting bosses with heavy attacks, because they thought Thrust is enough. Or pre-patch Palpatine Psykers standing in place 99% of the time. Or infiltrator vets not knowing that using F inside the crowd and just running away will change the aggro to attack the rest of the team. Or Ogryns with shields using only light attack and not knowing what shield does. If you use a build - READ IT. Read what is your playstyle or just read what talents you pick, so you can guess based on them what are you supposed to do.
Thematically makes sense for Vet to have a lot of toughness, so I could honestly see toning that back a little. Conversely makes a little more sense if Psyker had more toughness damage reduction options and that's how they become survivable (granted it's a small change, and it fits well with the fact that Psyker get some great toughness-self-healing when gaining/losing Peril. Ogryn changes don't seem to be a very impactful nerf (if any?). Also Ogryn's honestly the class that's been most solid for me over the years, so I think if any class could handle a nerf it's them. They're honestly still in a reasonably great spot, though there are several weapons and talents I'd tweak (make more Shield attacks viable; improve Ripperguns somehow, and I think Power Maul still needs another nudge up; add talents that speak to light attacks, and consolidate/remove a few heavy-attack talents)
The crazy thing is and ive heard this elsewhere, I've complete a maelstrom before. I'm not sure why it doesn't show up on havoc, but I've completed more than one, and still had to unlock it anyways...
Maybe fat shark can get some inspiration from warframe. The arbitration missions will have a random character and weapon that is buffed, it gives the incentive to use that weapon/character even if it’s weaker than the most used character and weapons. The buffs can be small modifications like better accuracy for certain archetypes or just do a flat damage buff for the weapon type. Small buff modifiers for missions will make players change their build if it’s worth it.
The auric requirement is odd, but it also tells you when you first try to access havoc. I blame people not paying attention. I do agree that they should remove the requirement to complete an auric mission to get the mode.
Someone has probably brought this up already but are other classes locked out of havoc once you start it with a specific class? I've finished auric and a maelstrom mission with my zealot but I can't choose havoc on party finder. I really hope this is a bug
Imo, I'm happy about the gunner changes. Might be low skill cope but I'm perfectly fine with them layering me so long as I have a chance to finally chase down and kill the 6 gunners all focusing me from 6 different spots in the room
One thing they need to change now that invites are going to be a common thing. The invite cant be locking you out of dodge and movement. I got deleted because I was in auric maelstrom doing a gunner mutation and boom, invite locked me in place unable to control my character. I wasnt even alive by the time I closed decline.
They should have a modifier like reinforced armor that prevents bleed on all armored enemies. That would at least shake up zealot tree a little bit by dropping scourge and having to take critical chance on their weapon. Idk if it would be enough to prohibit people from using dueling sword though. Maybe “oops, all dueling swords deal half damage” is the only way to do it 😂
Puss-hardened skin is a pain in the *ss for the Psyker's left keystone : each time you see blue on green at the other end of a corridor you cringe HARD.
Hello my favorite slopetide youtuber. In your experience with puss-hardened skin, does it only reduce range damage with weapons? It seems like Zealot's Throwing Knife and perhaps other blitzs ignore this modifier. Cheers!
Do you think lights out mode is generally bad or do you just get annoyed by how dark it is? My bias is I think it makes me rely on my ears a lot more, but it's pretty hard lol Nice vid, Mr. E!
8:50 its none of those things, Fatshark have simply created another toxic player retention system which does exactly the opposite to player retention. We had this experience with itemisation and crafting, now we wasted dev time on this abomination.
My first few rounds were pretty entertaining, though we were two mates pre-made. Gonna do a lot with my mates in 4 man teams. Gotta say the mk 4 force greats word alt fastest lazpistol is fun on an assail/scriersgaze and disrupt destiny build. Only had time for 3 rounds yesterday.
4:44 i think this is a good thing they have level requirements. You say that they dont realize they cant play havoc, then it should be readily apparent. But also who is trying to play havoc with you that hasnt even looked at it and saw they werent able to do it? But level requirements means that there wont be people doing havoc just because its massive xp, because thats what a lot of people do to level up, theyll play way harder missions than what they can actually play at because damnation gives just as much xp on a loss as winning the lower difficulty games. You say its frustrating not realizing your ineligible to play but its not frustrating to have 30-40% of games be complete throw away waste of time because theres people grinding xp?
You didnt understand what i said. Level 30 requirement should be the only requirement for playing havoc 1. If you want to skip to 16 you still need to prove yourself with an auric maelstrom. People that have completed tons of maelstrom in the past are booting up eager to play havoc and NAH go run a maelstrom first.
my immediate issue with havoc: why does it start me off on heresy (rank 16) when I just did a 3 veg maelstrom mission and crushed it? It makes no sense to even include heresy difficulty in havoc to me. Difficulty in havoc should start pretty close to where the easier Auric Malestrom missions are and then scale up from there. I don't want to grind easy mission to get to the fun stuff.
I don't know about the gating loadout options idea. I would never run a dueling sword of knife in a million years, but if they locked out the weapons I like running that would just mean that I would treat that content as gated, not the weapon.
It’s such a fucking shame that it starts at like fucking Malice difficulty. It’s supposed to be endgame, and the Maelstrom requirement reinforces that. Get rid of Maelstrom requirement, make regular Maelstrom skip you to 10, and make 10 equal in difficulty to that. Then, make Auric Maelstrom skip you to 20, and make 20 equal in difficulty to Auric Maelstrom, or at least Auric Damnation. It gives us at least 20 levels of difficulty to Prog through, and keeps to their promise of being an endgame system that requires you to be able to beat Maelstrom or Auric Maelstrom to even attempt
i see dueling swords on zealots, I feel physically repulsed, at least with one particular mark. From my experience, they're mostly all the same archetype. Havent done too much Havoc yet, but I sure hope there'll be varieties in loadout.
Nerfing dueling sword is terrible. You dont just nerf stuff to create build diversity. Msot of the weapons feel like shit to play (we know pros can use them). They need to buff other weapons so they dont feel like crap. The more they dont buff things and "increase" difficulty, it will only force the current meta more. They need to buff the under played weapons
Dueling sword is too overtuned, its too good not to use compared to everything else. Relic blade is good, but in comparison to DS it doesn't match it in damage or mobility. For sweaty content like Havoc, I'm def going to be running DS.
what makes it worse is it's one of the least 40K looking weapons in the game IMO. I enjoy playing it on my veteran commissar build but I don't ever want to play it on zealot just for aesthetic reasons.
Well I'm staying hopeful and hope this forces fatshark to take a hard look at their balancing of the classes and the game. If they get any statistics which classes are getting played and in which builds with the havoc up to rank 40 it will soon become quite clear that zealot will be overwhelmingly the most played class followed by veteran. Ogryn and psyker will not be hugely represented. Its simply because Zealot and veteran excel in mobility, horde clearing, toughness reduction and corruption removal. Ogryn and psyker are going to be useless in this game mode in higher ranks.
Was playing a new character as a friend started on ps5. 1. The first few levels of this game suck a bit- you character feels so bad/ keep telling my friend it gets way better in terms of gameplay. 2. Gunners feel way harder since the update. They seem to lock on and shred toughness straight away. Not sure if that’s cos I’m playing super low level or not. Also there is still knock back on shot gunners.
Are the bestiary penances bugged? I’m a ps5 player but the game has not been counting the majority of my kills. I’ve killed way more than just 5 reapers
I feel like you'll quite enjoy the force great sword. It makes the psyker feel like Zealot. You said the psyker feels too slow for you but now with this sword you can stun anything an just mosey your way up to it
I hate the Ogryn changes totally ruined my build i used the big friendly rock with indomitable going down to heavy hitter, the problem for me is I love the rumbler and I did obviously take the big boom passive which of course is now impossible to get with indomitable. Playing zealot instead now lol
I got the three new weapons mastered but my pc is old and finding a group that doesn't Insta-refuse applications to join seems impossible so Havoc is dead to me. 1300 hours in and I am having zero fun... At least people seen to be having fun, which can only be good for the game.
The difficulty scaling is insane! There is no reason it shouldn't be starting at basic maelstrom and just go up from there. Don't need more ways to play learning mode.
I keep getting error codes when I try to play havoc, unless me and a buddy play private. Why are we doing better than with randoms? Also blight spread + moebians is horrific at times
Sorry to break it to FatBoys, but most of the difficulty I have seen coming from this game mode, is artificially lowered player toughness values and trash and elite gunners cranked up to 11. Not particularly fun when you go from 100% to 20% HP in a half a second because a wall starts shooting at you. Thank you visibility.
I like the new weapons. The Havoc mode is trash with very little incentive to waste my time with it. The thing about roguelikes is supposed to be negatives AND positives, if we are just getting negatives and "more modifiers" then it's just a grind to get "auric maelstrom plus" which...just put that in the que then. I don't see anyone bothering with Havoc in a month.
Why do i suddenly need to complete a maelstrom mission when I've completed dozens recently, some how today is a new day? To the next point, maelstrom used to be the place for good players, now everyone is trying to unlock havoc and they clearly have not played maelstrom, failing over and over.
I thought the mod that highlights all the correct symbols for the hacking minigame was scummy, but using a 3rd party tool to negate the primary feature of a mission modifier is a new level of shame. I'm sure people think "it's fine," but what about a 3rd party tool I can run that makes me immune to pox gas? I'm sure many people would call bullshit on that, right?
They can call bullshit but i really dont care, it is physically painful for me and im not putting anything in a game above my own well being. Reshade barely makes it any better, but at least it widens the cone a little so its not so dizzying.
They ruined Ogryn, and broke my heart, I uninstalled it, ill try again after the next update in the hopes they fix it or balance it in line with the other classes
There's a lot of things you can say about Fatshark, but this is not one of them. Dude, it LITERALLY says when you meet Dukane in the menu thay she wants you to do a maelstrom, and then explicitly says an auric maelstrom will, and I'm paraphrasing here; have her 'assume that you're already seasoned' and push you further along than a regular maelstrom would. You just weren't reading.
I'll save everyone the suspense and explain the Psyker meta build for Havoc as it exists now. Purge (inferno) staff with warp flurry and penetrating flame. Warp siphon damage focused build with bubble shield. With the right setup, bubble is always off cooldown. Purge staff weakens the enemies it does not outright kill. Most of the fighting will be in close quarters, which means stacked up enemies, which means purge staff becomes even more effective. 20 percent brittle isn't a lot, but it's enough to make a difference if you have a DPS-capable team (which you should have in high level Havoc games). If you really want to min-max it, purge staff drops the bubble shield for venting shriek warpfire stacks and a full damage/toughness build. You get a second psyker who takes bubble shield with all ability cooldown options, trauma (voidblast) staff with rending shockwave. Trauma psyker has two jobs: (1) place shields in optimal fighting spots, and (2) put trauma brittleness on the biggest concentrations of enemies. Purge staff psyker has one job: Kill everything. Between charged flames and venting shriek, any stacked up enemies should be cut down unless they are crushers or bosses. Between the purge staff's penetrating flame and the trauma staff's rending shockwave, affected enemies should have up to 60 percent brittle. Both weapons are crowd-control/area attack, so they should be hitting most of the horde at any given time. Warpfire does damage over time against enemies that should have 60 percent brittle. Trauma staggers everything, keeping it from attacking while it takes DOT. Bubble shields keep the team alive. Throw in a shout vet with plasma gun to pick off snipers, gunners, and specialists and it's about as meta as you can get. Book zealot with boss damage dueling sword only seals the deal further. Or another shout vet, because Psykinetic's Aura is going to keep shouts off cooldown pretty much constantly. Simple as.
being forced to use the party finder for Havoc mode instantly destroyed the mode. I guarantee you will NOT be able to find a game without external sources within the week. its already gate kept by the auric maelstrom so why do we need this pointless hoop

My understanding is that it was an organization change that happened first before any actual buffs came out
As long as they buff my boy up big and strong, i can’t bear to see him like this
Locking good passives behind intentionally bad passives to force the player to waste points in an already extremely strict skill tree isnt good design. They can call it "point investment" but it feels more like wasting. Moving coherency to the top makes sense but pacemaker being bad, being aware that its bad, and moving it in front of a GOOD perk solely just to... be in the way? What the fuck?
@@armintor2826 This. Entirely.
Fatshark try not to design a system without grinding built in challenge (IMPOSSIBLE) (DON’T DO AT 3AM)
"Next week" is deep Fatshark lore.
Can't wait for them to take their 6 months vacation and the rank not increasing during all that time
Relic blades on zealot have awoken a new love for the game for me, idk what it is but cutting shit down with it makes me feel so cool. Also, error 9999 has ruined my day. Relic sword made auric damnation feel like pre school
Playing with relic blade made me realize why so many enemies got buffed 😂😂😂
Screw Ogryn: The patch
It is wild to me that they had all this content from times past laid out before them and they went "Weaves were good right?"
1:48 "I have cooled down a little bit about this" *takes a breather, clearly not cooled down about it*
I don't know if that pause was intentional or just a coincidence, but it cracked me up a lot
Blowing what on whose face?! 😮 Sloptide feeling the Emperor’s touch.
Ye Tanner was completely cucked out of Havoc 40 bc apparently his host friend was perma bugged and just couldn't matchmaking without error 9999.
How close did he get? Or did that just set him back a lot of time?
@@MisterEtide think he got to 35
@MisterEtide ye he got to like 35 with a bunch of server issues and he ended stream after an hr and something of errors.
@@MisterEtide the theory i've heard is its a bad mission seed, so they'd have to either wait a week for everybody to get new seeds at the unlocked level, regrind a new host, or wait for fatshark to sort it out.
@@computern22mine is bugged at 18 every party I start it fails to start the mission when I hit play
Love the music choice :)
Still can’t get over hearing Stardew Valley in the background, for a video about a game that takes place in the grim dark future of the 41st millennium.
really joe
I keep getting error codes when I try to play havoc, unless me and a buddy play private. Why are we doing better than with randoms?
For havok I just accept all randoms and ready to go😂
I dont see how they cares about so much. Just pick not all psy
That's a good idea. I was excited for the party finder hoping it'd make it more like Vermintide 2 but no one used it.
I believe that many of the weapons and other play styles need a major buff to prevent the Dueling Sword Meta.
Watching someone purge the heretics to stardew valley music is not something i expected on my bingo card today
He said he loves us. *blushes*
The auric can stay if you want a bump to 16. But if you want to start at 1, no need for that maelstrom.
Someone has probably brought this up already but are other classes locked out of havoc once you start it with a specific class? I've finished auric and a maelstrom mission with my zealot but I can't choose havoc on party finder.
I really hope this is a bug
What's the name of that mod that shows you what map you are about to enter? That's super helpful.
Imo, I'm happy about the gunner changes. Might be low skill cope but I'm perfectly fine with them layering me so long as I have a chance to finally chase down and kill the 6 gunners all focusing me from 6 different spots in the room
Haven’t gotten a chance to use the new weapons yet, doing Flawless Execution rn and I don’t want to risk it yet
Maybe “oops, all dueling swords deal half damage” is the only way to do it 😂
Loving the stardew valley music
best part of havoc is the error 9999 not being able to host your own game I have had this error for almost a full day now none stop thanks fatshark...
Played a few rounds before work today. Tertium is Power Swords, all the way down.
Puss-hardened skin is a pain in the *ss for the Psyker's left keystone : each time you see blue on green at the other end of a corridor you cringe HARD.
The mode is fun, only thing I am very much not liking is trash mob gunners suddenly evicerating me from a corner
It’s funny to hear Stardew Valley music in a Darktide video 😂
PLEASE TELL ME YOU PLAY STARDEW VALLEY!!!

Of course i do, wife is literally playing it right now
Awesome!
the Stardew music is hella fitting wait a minute
mister e what mod do you use to highlight plasteels?
Hello my favorite slopetide youtuber. In your experience with puss-hardened skin, does it only reduce range damage with weapons? It seems like Zealot's Throwing Knife and perhaps other blitzs ignore this modifier. Cheers!
Hey speaking of patch changes... did the Dreg Rager always have Carapace chest armour and I somehow didn't notice for a year? Or is that new?
That is new it's in the patch notes
Yesterday I played 3 back to back havoc missions 4 all psyker with the new sword
Do you think lights out mode is generally bad or do you just get annoyed by how dark it is? My bias is I think it makes me rely on my ears a lot more, but it's pretty hard lol
Nice vid, Mr. E!
If you have ever played WOW. It’s their Mythic + dungeon system nearly 1:1 identical system with how you level keys up vs havoc level.
Yez and next vid is about how they could use that formula to make this mode more rewardimg
8:50 its none of those things, Fatshark have simply created another toxic player retention system which does exactly the opposite to player retention. We had this experience with itemisation and crafting, now we wasted dev time on this abomination.
ayo whats that mod that shows you whos in coherncy i gotta know
My first few rounds were pretty entertaining, though we were two mates pre-made.
@MisterEtide yes i see... ive been on a hate trip for leeches lately, i had bloodlust
Dank Communion on Auric kinda cool, not gonna lie..
my immediate issue with havoc: why does it start me off on heresy (rank 16) when I just did a 3 veg maelstrom mission and crushed it? It makes no sense to even include heresy difficulty in havoc to me. Difficulty in havoc should start pretty close to where the easier Auric Malestrom missions are and then scale up from there. I don't want to grind easy mission to get to the fun stuff.
I don't know about the gating loadout options idea. I would never run a dueling sword of knife in a million years, but if they locked out the weapons I like running that would just mean that I would treat that content as gated, not the weapon.
Заметил что после обновления отключились все моды, есть ли какие-то новости по этому поводу?
You have to update numeric UI, chatblock, and a few others. Then run the toggle mods .bat file to turn them back on.
@MisterEtide благодарю.
You see the thumbnail, right
@@MisterEtide hopefully it won't be consistent, tis all I hope.
You said the psyker feels too slow for you but now with this sword you can stun anything an just mosey your way up to it
You know what would fix all this. Weapon buffs
The fact you need 'Friends' fir Havoc is a pain as i don't have any 😂 And to party up you need at least two players 😢
Dueling swords are canceled.
smoke could've been huge with increased gunner pressure but they refuse to make them work consistently :(
I hate the Ogryn changes totally ruined my build i used the big friendly rock with indomitable going down to heavy hitter, the problem for me is I love the rumbler and I did obviously take the big boom passive which of course is now impossible to get with indomitable. Playing zealot instead now lol
how can you see custom player profile ingame?, is that a mod?
Yes, for pc
I got the three new weapons mastered but my pc is old and finding a group that doesn't Insta-refuse applications to join seems impossible so Havoc is dead to me. 1300 hours in and I am having zero fun...
At least people seen to be having fun, which can only be good for the game.
Shock maul for zealot always
Love your content.
There is one letter t in the word "exacerbate".
Unless you intended to say *exasterbate.
Sorry when i enter the flow state some of my inner demons come out
The difficulty scaling is insane! There is no reason it shouldn't be starting at basic maelstrom and just go up from there. Don't need more ways to play learning mode.
Arrowhead treatment
As a veteran i kept getting my request to join rejected no idea why
Probably already 2 veterans in the party
gear restrictions could be quite cool
I keep getting error codes when I try to play havoc, unless me and a buddy play private. Why are we doing better than with randoms?
Also blight spread + moebians is horrific at times
Mr E try not to use Stardew music challenge: impossible
Sorry to break it to FatBoys, but most of the difficulty I have seen coming from this game mode, is artificially lowered player toughness values and trash and elite gunners cranked up to 11. Not particularly fun when you go from 100% to 20% HP in a half a second because a wall starts shooting at you. Thank you visibility.
Nothing for veterans this patch... We've only been asking for hellguns since launch
To the next point, maelstrom used to be the place for good players, now everyone is trying to unlock havoc and they clearly have not played maelstrom, failing over and over.
why is on console no gore or blood???????
I thought the mod that highlights all the correct symbols for the hacking minigame was scummy, but using a 3rd party tool to negate the primary feature of a mission modifier is a new level of shame. I'm sure people think "it's fine," but what about a 3rd party tool I can run that makes me immune to pox gas? I'm sure many people would call bullshit on that, right?
They can call bullshit but i really dont care, it is physically painful for me and im not putting anything in a game above my own well being. Reshade barely makes it any better, but at least it widens the cone a little so its not so dizzying.
Good work!
They ruined Ogryn, and broke my heart, I uninstalled it, ill try again after the next update in the hopes they fix it or balance it in line with the other classes
those mods feel a little cheaty, i might think about using them tho
Nice

He was never real
What's with all the "slop" in the titles lately lol
Its just me being self aware that this is low effort react content instead of my usual build guides and tutorials. But people seem to love it…
I didn't even realize the easy maelstrom was an option. It's not really indicated anywhere, but that's par for the course for fatshart.
You just run a mod to show all the pick ups? That seems...lame. map hacking ... wth ?
Simple as.
Yup, all zealots
being forced to use the party finder for Havoc mode instantly destroyed the mode. I guarantee you will NOT be able to find a game without external sources within the week. its already gate kept by the auric maelstrom so why do we need this pointless hoop
