Despite Luz vs Anne being pretty much an inevitability (assuming here DB still continues) this matchup will always hold a special place in my heart. It's such a shame nobody on the DB team has watched LWA.
Didn't expect that one to receive a vocal version but most definitely happy. As someone who's watched The Owl House relatively recently, I admit that upon listening back to all the Luz-related tracks that can be found on both Therewolf and Brandon's channels I was a bit underwhelmed as I felt like they didn't really feel the best for the character. All but one, that being Arcane Starlights (and to a lesser extent, Little Shining Light (which still has one of the best track names of *any* commission btw)). So, as said above, seeing it get a vocal version filled me with quite a lot of joy. I mean, as usual given that Arcane Starlights had a great instrumental I was a bit worried that it'd fall into the clashing vocal/instrumental side of things but as it turns out it absolutely doesn't, instead it makes full use of the instrumental for the better. This track follows the school of combining vocals and instrumental to elevate the whole song and it works really well. At no point do the lyrics clash with the instrumental and this is massively helped by the vocalist's absolutely amazing vocal performance. It's been pretty much accepted by this point that every single vocalist that Brandon features does a wonderful work and in the case of NekoHanonx3/Lili (dunno which username is the right to use so pretend I only wrote the correct one) it is absolutely no exception as they manage to bring a performance that has a grand total of 0 bad deliveries and a general vocal work that perfectly fits the tone of the song and its general instrumental. Another thing about the lyrical implementation that I really like is how they still leave room for the instrumental to shine. For example during the main solo at the track's halfway point, there's no lyrics for more than a full minute to leave room for the solo and instrumental to shine fully and that's something I really appreciate in songs: when there's room for the instrumental to shine as much as it can because while it's often forgotten in tracks featuring great vocals, the instrumental plays a major role in how good the song is. And this song doesn't shy away from that at all. Of course this is in addition to having a great mixing of both sides of the song as a whole all throughout its duration. Special mention for the whole entire 3:58-4:16 segment which represents this wonderfully. This part was one of my favorite parts of the track in the instrumental and I'm really happy that the vocals don't overshadow it here and instead play along with it perfectly: the instrumental still has the more potent presence in the segment but the vocals add to its intensity and meaning, making it stand out even more. And speaking of meaning, I must of course mention the lyrics themselves. Now as said before I've seen The Owl House pretty recently but as for Little Witch Academia I may or may not have dropped the anime because I didn't like it, so while I know all of Luz's traits I'm not nearly as familiar with Akko's (which is relatively sinful, I know. One of these days I'll power through the boring part of her anime and get to the good part but it's rough when half of it is the boring part). Still, even with that I can absolutely tell with certainty that the lyrics themselves perfectly fit the characters. I can't quite grasp every single line because the lyrics aren't in the description by the time I write this but I still really like pretty much everything I understand. Notably I heavily appreciate how the song makes it clear how those two would absolutely not try to kill one another and become friends in the fight regardless of who wins: they identify with one another and display their ideals and personalities but at no point is there antagonism towards another in this and it fits absolutely perfectly. I rarely make a distinct part to focus on the lyrics themselves of vocal versions so the fact that I'm making a point of mentioning them here should be more than enough proof that they're really well done and perfectly complete an already great vocal inclusion throughout the song. Overall I'll admit I was a bit apprehensive originally about how this vocal version would render as I've said at the start of this review but I am absolutely happy that it turned out so good. Not only are the lyrics wonderfully sung and implemented but they're also well written in a way that fits the characters and the dynamic the two would have in a fight perfectly. I may only identify to one half (and a bit more of that) of the matchup but it doesn't change the fact that it absolutely feels like a work from artists that at the very least appreciate the source material and while I could be completely wrong because for all I know both the singer and Brandon (and of course Therewolf with his amazing guitar additions to the song even if I didn't really mention it due to it being more so related to the instrumental) hate both series and characters, the fact that it *feels* that way shows a great deal of quality in the song from everyone involved in its making. Amazing job to all artists with this as always.
This is one where I feel like it would start as a friendly contest that went a little too far, only have a Spongebob vs Aquaman ending where the winner regrets killing, but the loser forgives them and complements how good they were. I haven't seen LWA, but I can't imagine either killing maliciously.

God, Hanon’s vocals are just so…pleasant, there’s just this serene feeling in her voice that really captures the wonder of both series flawlessly, and that’s before getting into the lyrics, this was one of my favorite instrumentals and I couldn’t be more pleased with its vocal variant
As someone who adores this matchup (even if Luz vs Anne is more inevitable) I’ve always had a specific vision for this fight. The setting is a magical public performance like the kind Akko attended for Shiny Chariot when she was younger. Luz and Akko are having a friendly competition to be the cooler witch with the fanciest performance, so they have a contest against each other and pass it off to the crowd as part of the show. A little bit into it, Akko gets a little angry and stubborn with Luz and start the fight fight, with the crowd still thinking it’s a performance. As the two are fighting, they make comments in reference to how hard they’ve had to work to become witches, believing the other was just naturally talented. Just before the climax, both of them use mind invading magic from their respective series to get an upper hand, but as they both see each other’s memories, they discover they both started at zero with no magic and were bullied for it, realizing that they had more in common than they had thought. Their mental selves have a brief heart to heart with tears welling up and embrace. When they both wake up in reality, they both agree to give the crowd an unforgettable finale and go all out with their final forms, and do one big magic clash of Titan Luz’s glyphs and Chariot Akko’s Shiny Arc. After a fireworks-like magic explosion in the sky that dazzles the crowd into cheers, Akko opens her eyes and sees the cheering crowd, asking Luz if she sees how their magic touched the crowd. However, when she looks around, she doesn’t see Luz, but lots of magic light balls floating away, and Akko realizes Luz died in their clash. Akko begins to cry, but a few light balls brush past her face and hands, and Akko realizes Luz placed a piece of paper in her hands as she died. The paper is a light glyph. Akko then hears Luz’s voice comfort her, telling her that they put on an amazing show, and that to never stop believing in herself. Akko taps the glyph and it shines into light, as the fight ends with Luz telling her “After all, believing is your magic.”

Although these two would be friends more often than not, this matchup is just one sided. I can hear some of y'all saying Titan Luz but remember: She can't access that form normally and needed the help of King's Dad to even reach it. And even if Luz could use Titan form whenever, it's nothing Akko hasn't dealt with before. No matter which way you slice it, Amity's gonna be single after this fight.
It really depends on where you scale Titan Luz. If highballed, she wins, but otherwise she loses unless she blitzes and disarms Akko from her Shiny Rod.

As someone who adores this matchup (even if Luz vs Anne is more inevitable) I’ve always had a specific vision for this fight.
The setting is a magical public performance like the kind Akko attended for Shiny Chariot when she was younger. Luz and Akko are having a friendly competition to be the cooler witch with the fanciest performance, so they have a contest against each other and pass it off to the crowd as part of the show.
A little bit into it, Akko gets a little angry and stubborn with Luz and start the fight fight, with the crowd still thinking it’s a performance. As the two are fighting, they make comments in reference to how hard they’ve had to work to become witches, believing the other was just naturally talented. Just before the climax, both of them use mind invading magic from their respective series to get an upper hand, but as they both see each other’s memories, they discover they both started at zero with no magic and were bullied for it, realizing that they had more in common than they had thought. Their mental selves have a brief heart to heart with tears welling up and embrace.
When they both wake up in reality, they both agree to give the crowd an unforgettable finale and go all out with their final forms, and do one big magic clash of Titan Luz’s glyphs and Chariot Akko’s Shiny Arc. After a fireworks-like magic explosion in the sky that dazzles the crowd into cheers, Akko opens her eyes and sees the cheering crowd, asking Luz if she sees how their magic touched the crowd. However, when she looks around, she doesn’t see Luz, but lots of magic light balls floating away, and Akko realizes Luz died in their clash. Akko begins to cry, but a few light balls brush past her face and hands, and Akko realizes Luz placed a piece of paper in her hands as she died. The paper is a light glyph. Akko then hears Luz’s voice comfort her, telling her that they put on an amazing show, and that to never stop believing in herself. Akko taps the glyph and it shines into light, as the fight ends with Luz telling her “After all, believing is your magic.”
This sounds absolutely beautiful. I may not know much about Little Witch Acadamia, but the vibe that this gives off is so comforting, yet adventurous. Could anyone perhaps write the lyrics somewhere?

Although these two would be friends more often than not, this matchup is just one sided. I can hear some of y'all saying Titan Luz but remember: She can't access that form normally and needed the help of King's Dad to even reach it.
And even if Luz could use Titan form whenever, it's nothing Akko hasn't dealt with before.
No matter which way you slice it, Amity's gonna be single after this fight.
It really depends on where you scale Titan Luz. If highballed, she wins, but otherwise she loses unless she blitzes and disarms Akko from her Shiny Rod.
