I bet she had 5 pages of lines to learn,that every actress could learn, the rest of the movie was fighting scenes, her stunt double should get at least 70% of her income...but we live in a cruel world where the image is the most important thing, and her double income is like 1% of hers.

I didn't like Jennifer's character. They made her a leader because of her status as an actor, not as her character. I believe this was a poor choice. Also, possibly the worst speech at the end I've heard :(
Agreed. Also mystique was originally an assassin/spy and magneto's right hand. She was more like Gomora from guardians. I like Jennifer Lawrence as an actress better than Rebecca romaine but Rebecca's portrayal was much much mote accurate. Mystique hated conversation, yet Singer's won't shut the hell up.

It hasn't always been either way. Depending on who was writing, they were at times BFFs, and at times she hated him.
+Noah Sheikh They were homies first though. You can't reboot and then skip over that unless we're talking about seeing something like uncle Ben or the Waynes getting killed for the 207th time. Then by all means gloss away.
I disagree. The way her character has evolved really worked for me. In the last one she saved the president from Magneto hence being honored by humans. I can see why the mutants looked up to her.
So here is my question, apocalypse is probably the ultimate baddy in the xmen universe. So where does the franchise go from here??? Sinster?? Dark Phoenix?? Maybe introduce the Shi ar?? I kinda think they introduced apocalypse too soon, should have saved him until after the likes of sinister etc

I'm really impressed with Olivia Munns commitment to the character. Looks like she did a hell of a lot of training & research. It's too bad they didn't use her more & develope the Psylock character more. Hopefully they will in the next film.
If she wears the same get-up I would be okay with her in every film... playing every character.
I loved Jubilee from the tv series but she doesn't do shit in this movie

I think it was because the actress who played Jubilee said she was more of a Avengers fan than a X-Men fan.. I know it sounds petty but sometimes when u star in a movie you have to watch the things you say.

I stayed in the cinema for fifteen minutes or so to watch the end credits. So worth it

Storm final fight scene was a bit of a let down, more lightning and hurricanes please.
Jean and Scott rifle scenes got cut out despite being heavily featured on trailers.
Jubilee is sidelined again.
Psylocke didn't do much. Her backstory was a bit thin too.
And the biggest letdown of all, Apocalypse is not as menacing around the mutants. He only quickly kills humans and then suddenly he is not as deadly when fighting mutants...
This is one of those movies the majority of critics were very wrong with. Fortunately there's still a fairly large minority that give the film its props. I didn't like it as much as First Class, but I did like it more than Days of Future Past.
They are tied in my mind (DoFP and XMA) But they don't beat First Class.
I have liked all the movies so far in this series. First class was good but there was so much different when compared to Xmen lore/background. Apocalypse was the first one that actually made me feel like I was a teen again reading a comic. There were iconic scenes in this movie that reminded me of the good old days of comics back in the 70's and 80's. For those critics out there that put down these three movies, at least they are not as progressively bad as X1 through X3. I just hope that when the reintroduce Rogue in the future they do it right.
Fun fact: The Amazing Spider-man and The Hobbit were two of the first movies to be shot on the Red Epic Camera.

En Sabah Nur was clearly shown with blueish gray skin in the post credit scene of Days of Future Past. They are probably using a part of Mr. Sinister's story, where he transfers his essence from body to body basically making him immortal.

The biggest problem I have with First Class, DoFP, and Apocalypse was that they are in different decades yet the characters have not aged at all.

If this is gonna be Stan's most favorite appearance then I'm excited, he actually had lines in Civil War to deliver one of the funniest jokes in the entire movie, cant wait to see him top that.

Naw. I have it on VHS. It was the final of the trilogy, and had a lot of buildup. Loved the casting of most of the characters. It is just how they handled Pheonix in the film when it should have been about mutant registration. She should have come back as Pheonix and not gone into the Dark Pheonix series in that trilogy. It basically ruined what was otherwise an awesome ending and concept. With Magneto going after the kid, even Juggernaut and the rest. Unfortunately because of the story with Jean Grey, and the death of Cyclops (WTF movie?) that just really turned me off to the whole movie. The one liners and meme plugs were insane.
They had plenty of opportunity to allow Xavier to get visions of the Shi'ar empress Lilandra at the end of the trilogy, instead, he died, then was in his brother's body.

+Nick Rh No. It was an enjoyable enough movie. It seems like it's a trend now for everyone to totally bash movies to seem "cool".
The makers just messed up because, as usual. they focused primarily on Wolverine. And they didn't devote the time it would take to develop characters like the Juggernaut (he was just some mook in a suit with an annoying accent) & Phoenix (making it some alter ego of Jean's was stupid & just lazy writing). Plus the FX budget was bad.
Well it was a fun ride through the Cern tunnel
I have a doubt: Apocalypse is shown in DOFP as a mutant kid with his white skin and red eyes, but in the trailers he is shown as a normal man before a "transformation", why?
I think he takes other mutants body's and powers as he reincarnates to live forever
well he always had the blueish skin, but he gets his suit and armor from celestial tech that was hidden, not sure if they show this in movie or not but thats what happens in comics, plus he has been alive forever so he looks different
+The Riddler Simple answer, "white washing". More complex answer the "transformation" is probably his discovery of the Celestial tech, which granted him his "armor" in the comics.

I personally really liked oscar isaac as apocalypse as he was shakespearean trained and as ypu can see in the movie his lines are short yet meaningful or he's releasing a monologue. some people criticize this fact but i liked the grandiose nature of his performance.
The character in the comics acts and speaks in a very similar way. Oscar Issac did a great job playing the part.

Honestly, I don't back use of cg characters very much but apocalypse is titanic enough in normal mode that he probably should have been cg. Storm should NEVER be standing at the same height as him. Okay, "The Wolverine" makes no sense in existing after DOFP, because the end credit scene is literally the lead up to DOFP. Also all the references to X3 (and a couple from the first Wolverine). I think when Fantastic Four bombed, FOX decided that it would not be canon to the X-Men film series. Also Gambit isn't out yet, but yeah that makes sense to be in the new timeline.

Apocalypse actually is born blue in the movie. Not only does DOFP show him blue as a child but if you watch this movie, you'll know he's already blue.

This was my favorite movie
The entire X-Men franchise is very confusing to me. They're good movies but the timeline is what gets me. Now, is there supposed to alternate universes because it doesn't add up. First, in the Wolverine origin he broke cyclops out of Stryker's prison but in the new Apocalypse movie they break him out. I mean, whats that all about. Second, Nightcrawler was in the second X-Men movie and they didn't know him but in the Apocalypse movie he supposed to be part of the team. Again, very confusing.
