Been struggling with signal drop-out for months now. I was basically at my wit's end before I found this video. Cleaned the connectors with mineral oil as suggested, but with low expectations. 4 hour rehearsal last night, no drop out at all for the first time since I bought them. Thank you.
I was just about to throw mine out and I discovered your video. I didn't have much hope but BINGO, my 215's work again! Thanks for the help!
Glad we could help, Keith! If you ever need additional help troubleshooting, you can always reach out to our support team at shu.re/contact.
Thanks for the video i just bought my first set and i didnt know id be getting such a deal.
You saved mine too!
Can I use 70% isopropyl alcohol instead of mineral oil for the mmcx connectors?
Try getting 90% or higher. This is what I have been using for ages.
I would be afraid of the alcohol breaking down any protective (e.g.: tarnish proofing) coating.
Great tips (see what I did there?) including the coil cable method.
this happened to my Sony IER Z1R I cleaned the mmcx connectors it worked i almost sent it back for repair
you saved my ass , thank you !
what is dawn soap ?
Hi! It is a brand of dish soap.
@@shurecreators Ok. Some local brand.
It's the dish soap that veterinarians classically use to clean birds after an oil spill!
I followed this video exactly and now my right in-ear monitor is quiet and I can barely hear any sound 😅
I wonder if you inadvertently pushed some debris deeper in. Their customer service is pretty helpful if you shoot them an email.
The captions say Isopropyl Alcohol but she says Mineral Oil.
Thanks for pointing this out! We've passed this along to our team.
@@shurecreators So which one is it lol? Mineral Oil or Alcohol?
@@darkstarunderground hi! It's mineral oil.
Good earphones but pretty poorly made if wax can get right into the nozzle that you can't get out which then ruins the earphones. You think after all this time they would re-design them instead of just adding a filter on some of the ear sleeves.
nice short useful tipps
These things break constantly. My bandmates and I are all on their second pair. Poorly made tbh.
