- Back at it here in 2023 with a detailing video to start off the year. Ceramic coating for the wheels on both the GX470 and M4 was totally worth the $43 and time cleaning. C.Quartz DLUX applies evenly to the surface and is easy to work with, making this an easy DIY coating product.
There is an impressive difference in the amount of dirt collected over a period of time compared to untreated wheels. I'd say the best part is the effortless clean with only the use of a pressure washer...no more scrubbing after each wash!

Awesome video! I am going to try the turtle wax ceramic spray I already have, but if it doesn't work I will definitely be using this. I've used so many of your videos, so thanks for making them! Oh, when are you going to remove the running boards? :) If you do it, hit me up cause I have some instructions on the easiest way and how to keep the front molding in place. On GXOR you see so many that cut it wrong and then ask about how to fix the missing front molding.
Hey Cody! Sorry for the delayed response. I'm so happy to hear you have been able to utilize my content for modifying your GX! Yes, the ceramic coating here is a very durable coating that I'm impressed with. I've used some other ceramic coatings in the past and they never lasted long before wearing off. Oh nice! The head unit and the subwoofer will be a great improvement for your vehicle!
I'm glad you reached out and mentioned this before I've removed the running boards! I plan to remove mine later this year(maybe sooner after the lift install) and I wasnt sure how I was going to deal with that molding around the front. I'll have to do some research and reach out to you if I go that route.
Thanks Eric, Once again you've given me a great improvement for my GX and my wifes car as well. Do you think this will be okay on the Bronze TRD Pro wheels? They are kind of a textured surface and matte (non-glossy) finsh surface.

Yes, this will be fine for the matte surface on the Bronze TRD Pro wheels. It will likely give them a little more shine, but won't be an aggressive amount.
I wonder if Magic Erasers would help get the brake dust off effectively?
Now I'm curious lol. It would be an interesting thing to test out.
I was wanting to try and coat the inside of the windshield and see if it helps with fog or just keep it clear for long periods.
This is a good idea. Have you read any instances of people doing this and it worked?

I’d be happy if brake dust was all I had to worry about. My gx and other 2 vehicles are currently covered in salt due Iowa winter

Yes, this is a perfect coating for a motorcycle. The coating I'm about to do on the M4 (Will document that as well) is made to last 24 months, so I might suggest buying the smaller bottle of that since it will last twice as long.
