We were waiting for you. People don't realize paint and primer does preserve wood. When a piece is so banged up it deserves a refresh. The collendar is a genius idea! Very pretty.
So true, and Thank you!
So good to see you again! Love your videos! Wow, what an amazing awesome job! The decoupage paper and the blended paint absolutely brought this one back to life! Gorgeous stunning job! 😊❤
Thanks so much! 😊
Beautiful! Any time you can give an old tired piece of furniture a new life it’s a win. Doesn’t matter to me if it is painted. As long as it has a chance to live on I am satisfied. You always do such lovely work!
Thank you very much ❤️
Yes! A thousand times, yes! So glad to see you again and the work is wonderful. Guud teachin'!!! Thank you.
You are so welcome!
OMG! Love, love, love this piece, Sab. Fantastic!
Thank you so much!
You definitely did not ruin it. You gave it a new life and whoever buys this piece is super lucky
❤️❤️❤️
That is one of your best videos. Blending the whole piece with the picture? Awesome. Excellent work!
Thank you very much!
This has turned out beautifully. I love it, thank you. ! For sharing your knowledge!!!
Thanks so much 😊
So cute! Loved the strainer technique and using the Black Mud for the stencil! Duh, lol. 🤣❤
I can't believe someone sold this piece of junk. You made a beautiful piece of furniture out of it, I love it. Sabrina I hope you are staying safe!
Thank you so much!
That was a rough piece but it looks amazing now! Great job.
Thank you very much!
Lovely job, Sabrina! 👍
When you started stippling I thought, "hmmm... I don't know about that." It turned out absolutely stunning. That dark wax really changes the look of a piece and gives it such a rich look.
Thanks, it was great to see you again. I hope that you're getting settled nicely in the new place.
Take care, 🙏🤟
Thank you! 😊
Your patio looks like it’s in a very nice and zen place ❤❤❤
It is ❤️❤️❤️
Amazing result! I can't wait to try your techniques.
❤️❤️❤️
What a stunning piece!! Beautifully done as always!! 😊

Amazing! Looks so much better!
Glad you think so!
So well done, a great save
Thank you!
This is so charming! I really like the new hardware.
It's stunning love the decopodge paper so beautiful
Thanks so much 😊
Absolutely amazing 💜🕉
Thank you! ❤️
The sock dust collector is wonderful. By using shellac, you also used a base that would allow someone to return it to "original" finish. Just a note to think about, not a criticism...removing a veneer from the types of wood typically under veneer on mass production pieces may cause the wood to split after a period of time. It is solid wood, but it may be a lower quality of wood. If so, the veneer gave the wood a stabilty it no longer has. Replacing the veneer would have given the base wood that stability again...if low quality. However, time will tell if there is a problem.
Thank you for the info! I will definitely consider that next time!
So pretty! I love when you use decoupage paper. No gilding wax? Lol!
Right?! I thought about the wilding wax and decided against it
Beautiful!
Thank you!
Great job! Fun project thanks
Thanks for watching!
Beautiful job!
Thank you!
Looks great 👏🏼🤩🤩
Thank you! 🤗
Omg it’s beautiful ❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much!
Very nice!
Beautiful
Thank you ❤️
❤ Thx for this video.
You're welcome 😊
Welcome back.
Thanks!
People who get all precious about painting wood are not out here rescuing all the thousands of pieces destined for the dump. Refinishing furniture is a business & if natural wood sells - then that that is what happens. But at the moment, painted wood is in fashion & THAT is what sells (& keeps these darlings out of the dump!) A few years ago everyone wanted the distressed "farmhouse" look, then it went to single bold color with gold hardware. At the moment, blended colors, decoupage & transfers are "it" - which I love as they are much more fun than single colors to do - so that is what happens. Better a gorgeous paint job that can be sanded later to restore to wood if that's what someone wants than lose these pieces altogether.
I agree ❤️
Beautiful.
Thank you!
**edit** I LOVE THIS FLIP!!!! Still watching...But had to say, off to buy a mini chain saw. I had no idea these existed.
Right?! Mini chainsaws are fabulous!
Muito lindo seu trabalho❤
❤️❤️❤️
Wow, that was a really bad piece! You really did an awesome job on bringing it back to life. Yeah, when you live out in the country the delivery man starts to see you at least on a weekly basis!
Thank you! And yes, ordering online and just having stuff delivered is such a convenience now!
Great project. Were you able to find any maker's mark anywhere on the piece? I have a piece so very similar to this one in many ways but I have no idea of the maker. I recently rehashed it into a mid-century modern styled piece that you can see on my channel but I thought at the time that it was a 50s or 60s department store piece based on the construction. Yours is very similar both in construction and design. I even had the same dual-layered thick veneer. I've owned it since the 70s.
I didn't see a manufacturer name. Just walnut stamped on the back
@@SabsRehabs Cool thanks!
it's called, seriously screwed up, I suggest using an impact drill, but the piece of furniture can stand in the hen house.
Use an impact drill for which part?
Your little gift should be there today. Enjoy!❤
Please Sabrina, I would like for you to buy a new window for your new house. A good one to keep the OK dust out.
Yes! Thank you! I received it the other day! You are so kind!
It turned out very pretty! I just never use caulk on wood furniture because of different environments and caulk mildews and gets gummy.
Hi Sabrina, this really is a story of a ugly duckling to swan, you did a great job, I love it...Any news on your property ?...Take care...cheers !!! 🍁 🍁
Thank you! We have a driveway and electricity to the property! We get the well dug next month and then our house should be ready sometime in July. It's been a long journey but finally a light at the end of the tunnel!
Isn’t the chainsaw a bit of an imprecise cutting tool for something as important as leveling a piece of furniture?
Turned out just fine for me
You could have fooled me that blending paint colors isn’t a strong suit. This piece is beautifully blended. It’s a great save and I see why it’s in your top 10 favorites. 👍🏼🩵
Thank you so much ❤️❤️❤️
Beautiful!
Thank you!
