The poly clear coat and the stroke movements with a little swagger made this video well worth the viewing. You have done an excellent job on that table. Mark patent the swagger. lol

B - 💘 the shirt shoutout, especially the managing to trash it despite the new apron.

I have been away for a bit, despite keeping an eye on UA-cam over the course of past time… it occurred to me that I had not seen your videos anymore… I searched my subscription notifications, and nothing! I thought the worst, and grimaced that perhaps COVID got the better of you… then I looked in past subscribed videos. Lo and behold, here you are 🥲
    Great build Buddy 😉🇦🇺👍

Holy moly mate. Did you wake up one morning and decide to give yourself a mighty challenge? There is so much that can go wrong with getting that base frame assembled, even if you managed to get all of the fairly difficult joinery cut. I probably would have said "yeah nah, I'll just make a square box and call it a day". Well done mate, may it bring you many monies so we can see you throwing shavings all over your workshop with your new lathe.

Mark, you are like a woodworking scientist, determined to try new things and to make it work! I enjoy seeing the process and watching as you figure out stuff! Makes me think that I could try some of these techniques some time. I have seen that these finger joints that are already tight, become even more tricky to put together when you add glue.
After all of that it turned out first class! Also you look great in those safety glasses!

Nice table and I really like the leg configuration.
You made me laugh - "what could possibly go wrong!!" I know that feeling well. Every complicated multi joint glue up i do stresses me out beyond belief until its done, including the one i did last night. This is the one time when all the weeks of hard work could end up with a pile of scrap wood if it goes really badly wrong. Im a hobby woodworker and one big screw up at glue up could ruin multiple weeks of weekend wookworking! Luckily its only gone badly wrong once in 5 years but i was able to save it . . . . just, and that was a big storage trunk with finger joints - too many surfaces and joints to glue and align before the glue starts going off!
How did you sort out your dented corners? I would probably just trim them off to look like an intentional chamfer but interested to know your fix
