Nice video. I usually dislike music in woodworking videos but the way you've done it here is perfect and contributes to the cozy atmosphere visitors often remark upon when they visit the shop.
Great content! I'm a fan for a long time. Please make a video about how you keep your shop so clean and tidy. You've covered a bit of that subject but you never showed your clever ideas.
Hi Denis from he UK, i have just finished watching the coffee table video. For the moment i liked this jig you were using, so much more simple than many seen on UA-cam and very versatile. When i finish reorganising my Garage i might try and make the coffee table- i have som 200 year old Honey Pine and it is almost as hard as Oak.
Agreed! Perfect blend of soft quiet music, fantastic video demonstrating how you did each part, and only enough voice-over necessary to explain. Zen is the word.
Bedankt!
Awesome from a very kind man For what it's worth, your jig that you used to taper the wood, is warped underneath. This could throw the taper off. I like it that you use very quality machinery like the table saw, joiner/planer and bandsaw. This rewards with better woodwork. Thanks for sharing with us your innate talents kind Sir. 'Til next time you show us yet other "gems".
Hi Pat, very sharp noticing. That is why you see me with another platform from plywood later in the video. You describe exactly the reason why I did that:-)
Thank you Dennis Great video beautiful coffee table Great job love your channel so Profesional and so informative and enjoyable Fantastic! and this this is my score card Entertainment 10 Production. 10 Informative. 10 Relaxing. 10 UA-cam rating 10
Nicely designed and well constructed, bringing all the steps into a project is a bonus and helps convey your message Dennis. Although I have an understanding of the techniques you used I will be taking advantage of the design and making one for myself so thanks for another great video.
I can only repeat myself. Love watching your quality videos. I did take some clues away from it. :) Btw: I talked to a friend today to whom I recommend your channel a while ago. He called you a “woodworking nerd”. I think he has a point. But this is mend in a very positive way. We admire your attention to detail and the high standards you set for yourself. I told him that you have become a role model to me when it comes to woodworking. But there is a long way still to go. :) But I like setting my goals high and taking my time to get there (very slowly). I have learned so much already! So thanks for your company on the way.
Thanks Kai, I never been called a "nerd" on school, so it is a new experience for me to be called that way. It does not seem bad though, the way you express it :-)
That was an excellent video. I'll never make that exact table, but watching you make it taught me a lot of "how to's" for things I will make some day. Keep these coming mate.
Great video! It is nice to see you put some of your clever shop jigs and tools to use. Plus I love seeing more uses for the MATCHFIT system, I am definitely going to make spline jig like that.
Hi Dennis. It's incredibly exciting to listen to you. Both the topic you cover, the angle and the way you tell means that I could watch your videos all evening. It makes me curious who you are. You once mentioned that you have carpentry as a hobby, but what is your profession or education. You are analytical and pedagogical, do you want to tell a little about yourself?
Great video Dennis! It is nice to see what you make in that amazing workshop! Prior to finding your channel I was researching many different products and had decided on a few items, but it really helps my decision making when I see you using these products that I am wanting to buy as I outfit my workshop. It is a final confirmation for me that if you are using them, and seeing how you use them, that they will work for me! I am looking forward to saving a lot of money on jigs and T-Track with the Match-Fit system as an example. I also like the Incra tools and fence as I have mentioned before.
Thanks Kevin, I think the Micro Jig system is a good investment and make a lot of thinks possible in a save way. The clamps etc. are not cheap, so, you have to keep in mind that they are very flexible to use. I think the extra price is worth the money.
Hi Dennis, ik wil je echt een enorm compliment geven voor de manier waarop je kanaal zich ontwikkelt! Hi Jan,
Yes, a new bandsaw. The Hammer N4400. I do not have a lot of space for it jet, but I bought it with my new workshop in the back of my head.
Hi Dennis, what's the use of domino's or dowels in the corners of the legs if you make a cut right through them for the different colour wood?
Hi Antoine, I still think the connection is strong enough after adding this extra wood. That will increase the stability also. The domino's are thicker than the strip of wood.
