Browney ,..I never new any of this , I'm so glad you were the man. ,I knew the Aztecs in early 60s , met you guys making a film in Broken Hill , and the big Yankie feller,..guess you had some time for Billy ,Cheers Cobber..
If this is the real Ted please come back and do one last Original show for us in Detroit, my whole family has seen you but I never did all I ever seen was rockplast and dam son they need more like ya in today's society, Country & Rock is loosing itself to God knows what. My Bros Sam & Marty jammed with you once or twice at a place I won't mention because it's not my right but we could use some Mega Support here now more than ever with all old songs cat scratch, paralyzed, strangle hold etc. Etc . Be safe signed a Veteran that actually just discovered who Billy Thorpe was and dam would be cool to see you to jam together. 🤘
Thank you for sharing this although I was there the whole experience was surreal. Would love to see it all in full. I would like to thank Lynn, Rusty and Lauren for sharing Billy with us during the good times, and at a time most private. May God hold you in the palm of His hand forever more. Vale Billy 1946-2007.
No but played at Sunbury - the Australian equivalent -a very big show. A legend in Aust Rock. One of the best and sad the rest of the world didn't see what we saw.
@Bestmanme08 -I did not realize billy thorpe had passed....it surprizes me greatly to find these things out LATE in the game of life....We will JAM forever anyway...so. RIGHT MATE!!i spent to much time in all those military underground bunkers and doing my duty!! life is differant underground and outside occurances and events pass you by and all is work, work, work, and time schedules...BILLY MAN..THANK YOU SIR!! i wore out the cassette on my desk for years !Play on billy man!!Space forever chow!!
I have written what i think on the 1st part of this , but i am watching all of of this because it is so very interesting. I am trying to imagine an English rocker being given a live(sic) funeral...Ozzy , Keith Richards , Lemmy , Paul Macca , Jimmy Page , but i just can't see it! Well played to you all for respecting a Rock musician! I wish more people could see the power of music..
Of those only Lemmy is dead and he got one mate.A fine televised tribute with many stars and Dave Grohl eulogy. Killed by death...rock on Lemmy RIP BILLY and LEMMY
"I wish that the entire memorial could be posted on you tube"...I'm going to put it all up in the new year it does have some very touching moments including tributes from Jack Thompson and Michael Chugg and a clearly 'choked-up' Olivia Newton-John singing "Somewhere Over The Rainbow"...stay tuned.
Thanks mate..Billy is an Aussie bloody legend!
