- This might be the hand of the year. Just an absolutely ludicrous situation went down last night on Hustler Casino Live. Three players are all in, each with monster hands and a quarter-million dollars in front of them. We're breaking down this incredible high stakes poker whirlwind today on Poker Hands.
Check out the full HCL stream from last night here: • Rampage, Mariano & Nik...
I'm buying in for $100,000 today and playing on The Lodge live stream. Watch here: ua-cam.com/video/FnRM6KOcTPc/v-deo.html
buy in for 95000 and pay me the 5000 to punt on online poker instead 😢

Good luck Juggy
Mariano: Those stakes are too low for me bro.
Doug you're on a roll this week 😂
😂😂😂 you’re eyes tell the story Mariano!
whew, good thing you didn't have A5s this time! gg bro
You earned every single bit of this. Luck is when preparation meets opportunity. Good time to buy real estate in Manhattan Beach 🎉
Nah bro YOU are on a roll😂💪🏻 keep killing it
That table talk with Double M would’ve cost you a quarter million if Yang spoke English!
Mariano’s face @ 3:05 trying to suppress that smile. I see you 😆
That's Yang at 3:05.
Mariano will remember this hand for the rest of his life.
Doug thx 4 the Hustler content.
given what it's done for his bankroll I'm sure he will. heck he should retire.. heh.
Surprising Yang didn’t notice Double M’s body language, not sure if it would have changed his decision and it’s easy for me to say because I see everyone’s hole cards…ultimately it’s information that shouldn’t be available, Mariano is out of line saying something.
I have never seen someone so sad winning with AAs, let alone stacking 2 people. Mariano is a nice dude
@@pepsisummer8429 thats impossible lmao
His sadness had more to do with how the hand played out and his handling of himself by communicating with Double M at an inopportune moment.
He should have not said anything and play. Be sad all you want….
Double M was already all in. They can talk to each other and what Mariano shared with Double M had no impact on what Double M since he was already all in. Yang should have already known something was fishy already with those overbets going back and forth. It was a tilted showing by Yang and great sportsmanship by Double M and Mariano.
@gotspeed_ you're oblivious if you don't see the angle. It's the 3 comments and the way he over reacted after doubleM went all in and before he told him he has AA. Everyone missing this is mindblowing to me. Like they're all in on it... crazy🤯🤯🤯
You're not suppose to speak out of turn, EXACTLY for this reason. This is so obvious to me I can't get over how people miss it. Sure I get some minor acting here or there, but Mario was speaking very loudly and clearly, he definitely shouldn't be uttering a word about the hand. Order a drink, that's fine. Talk about hand in any way in a huge spot like this? Obvious no...
Take a moment to respect DM, he was class here, took it like a champ.

The cut to mariano was gold 😂
I don’t think I’ve ever said “you have to fold kings pre there”, but you have to fold kings pre there.
He literally broke the table up. 🤯😂💪 This will go down in history as one of the most monster hands ever.
That's the longest I've seen Nik be quiet. Even he was like "WTF???" and just watched.
if only Mariano could be quiet during a hand
@@dalekerr5091 that "what's going on?" angle after flitting the 5 bet got double M to shove lol
Although nothing said affected any action possible, other than Yang actually getting away because he knows Mariano has AA, I could see how someone may have thought something weird was going on especially if you didn't speak English. This is the EXACT reason why you must speak in English at the table because imagine the other way around, Mariano is in a tough spot vs Yang and Han and they're next to each other whispering in Mandarin then you'd prolly be alarmed a bit. I'm actually more curious as to why Yang keeps looking over at Han as if to ask him what to do. He looks over at least five times as if he's awaiting for advice. Han DEFINITELY thought something weird was going on as he left the game immediately after the hand when the game was still going on. He visibly looked frustrated or angered and he said something to Double M but idk what was said. It didnt help that Han was stuck 200k so I'm sure it crossed his mind that maybe something was going on all night. Sick hand either way and of there was EVER a time to dump KK then it's this exact spot for Yang.
Well said, I think he kept looking at Han cos Han's a mandarin speaker and his English is much better. He's like bro "are these guys trying do something shaddy?" cos he's genuinely confused and suspicious
True. He also could have left bc he was out of cash after losing this hand + stuck 200k
@@samuhlm2 I'm talking about the other Asian guy who folded AcQd. He still had $103k left when he folded. He was clearly upset after the both run-outs and grabbed a rack and left immediately. He didn't stay for a single hand after this and they played for a bit longer on stream and usually play a lot after the stream too. He's the one who thought shady shit was going on.
The conversation between Mariano and Double M made the action weird. Discussing your holdings while action is still ongoing in a 3-way pot, is really awkward. Especially in this situation with a new player that does not know the relationship between players.
@@kellyallen8528 gotcha. Didnt catch that part

Here’s the link to a previous game where Mariano decides to blurt out with the nuts with another player left to make a decision. It’s angling when you do it more than once. Mariano knows what he’s doing. The drunk rant was nice. Oscar worthy. Also thanks to Lauren the dealer for omitting that Mariano said he had Aces out loud. m.ua-cam.com/video/PPgqWYrJ6ok/v-deo.html
Great job Doug! These type of videos are why I subscribed a few years back, keep up the good work 👍
To me, Yang should've easily folded to Double M's 6 bet shove. Either Mariano or DM could easily have AA. You have 55k invested with 200k back, let it go.
This! - After the previous action, chances that both other players completely overplay their AK and/ or QQ are extremely slim.
Nah you don’t fold kings bro
@@ilovebenchpress5315 Lolol…..you always fold kings to a 6bet 600bb shove.
You’re always chopping at best unless against a sicko. Which just doesn’t happen.
It's the easiest fold ever... it's absolutely terrible.
I agree Mike, easy fold! But, it seems we play tight where others risk it all. I'm in it to make money, and at best my K's are gonna be a flip, and I don't like flips. 👍😎✌

@@allenbythesea true lol but very different stages in life and in their careers. Doug can give zero fks. Mariano ain't there yet.
i was getting annoyed hearing mariano talking. just wait and be quiet
Let’s not forget to give double M credit for his class act after losing massive pot
Dude's a hedge fund manager. These fkers steal Billions a year. This is nothing to him
If you listen good at 3:04 you can hear Mariano say “double M I have aces”
Ye he does, because MM is already all in and has no more decisions to make, and Mariano's being a nice guy not making him wait to know he's most likely beat whilst Yang tanks. Not a wise move because shit like this can happen, but nothing shady about it as it changes nothing, the guy already put all his chips in the middle. Now if MM had told Mariano his hand, WHOLE different story as Mariano is still to make a play, but ofc he didn't.
I Don’t agree. If he told MM he HAS TO TELL yang. That is not fair. You cannot announce your hand before a player makes such a big decision. You just can’t.
@@artromero2955 …. Yes you can. You can say what you want at the table. You can’t show your cards but you can say whatever the hell you want. You know nothing about live poker OBV
But Yang asked what was said and Mariano said oh nothing nothing or whatever. Surely he should have disclosed to Yang that he told MM he had aces?? If I was Yang , I wouldn’t be too pleased tbh
@@WilliamWBG I agree anything can be said at the table but Yang asked what Mariano said , Mariano lied.. that’s the only shady part
Mariano should have kept his mouth shut 🤫 PERIOD!
As usual, excellent hand analysis, Doug. Some 10 years ago at Aria, three players went all in quickly all-in at my table: AA AA KK, and KK binked a K on the flop. It was weird and entertaining, but it is was not for $780K...
Rene, I had that exact situation happen to me. The pocket kings said, I know one of you has aces but I can’t fold kings pre flop, as we were two way all in waiting for him to compete the action…. Of course in the window is a K and both of our AA are dead! 😢
Yang gotta fold there. He knows he's behind.
Respectfully, why is HCL letting in players who don't fully speak english? I'm sure there are quite a few english speaking fish out there who would love to take Yang's spot and make the games easier to watch
What’s funny is Yang is doubly wrong for the call All In. I get he doesn’t understand english well but just look at double Ms body language and how relaxed Mariano is. Bro gotta work on some live reads before english
Rec player here and curious if my basic take is correct....So Double M goes all in for about 250K. Now Yang has a decision. He has 55K committed with Mariano still to act. So...1) He HAS to put Double M on KK or AA. Has to. This means that if he calls and Mariano folds that he is, AT BEST, going to win about 28K (minus an unlikely 4flush) or because it is more likely that Double M has AA , since he already has KK , is WAY behind to lose another 200K. This is the BEST case scenario if Yang Calls!!! ... 2) But, if Yang calls and then Mariano calls (Mariano has, after all, already committed 55K) then it is FOR SURE that either MAriano or Double MM has AA. There is no way Double MM goes 250K and Mariano does as well without one of them having AA since neither does this with even QQ or AK suited....3) The third scenario, folding and losing 55K, obviously sucks but seems by far the best move and leaves Yang still up 100K for the evening. I get that Marianos commenting might have thrown Yang a bit, but still, it seems his best decision is quite clear, not even close really. Have I got this about right?
Yep you do and Mariano shouldn't be talking during the hand he knows this you shouldn't have said what he had it could influence his Yang decision plus who knows him and the other guy could be backing each other it just looks Shady to Yang and he doesn't speak English and then the dealer wasn't honest about what was said when he wanted to know also it's kind of an angle to act weak like he said what the f*** is going on here blah blah blah when he has Aces when he hasn't called the all-in yet just bad etiquette all around
It’s common fuxking sense. You don’t talk about the hand when players are left to act. I don’t care if he doesn’t speak English, it’s not right. Who fuxking cares that a player has to sit another 2 minutes not knowing if kings would win. Awful play by Mariano. That being said I don’t believe it was malicious.
The dealer lied, she should be punished! Thats not fair!
Doug I have your videos sometimes but do your analysis while the hand is happening ..your videos will time wise be cut in half..I don’t think many people wanna watch how long it takes for u to tell us what is happening to then watch the frigin thing all over again for your long analysis..it’s too much ..I can’t get into the Chanel because of it ..I’d love it if you just call the hands as it’s happening and I think most people would as well..u can cover more good hands and put out more content
Can't believe Yang still called. Mariano gave every single kind of Strength tell that exists.
Except when he acted weak and said the f is going on here this is crazy while he's holding Aces and then Whispers to double M which really influenced yang.. absolutely terrible etiquette not to mention the dealer didn't say what was really said in seemed to cover for him because she was told to do so on the headphones Doug missed a lot of this
I thought Mariano would’ve clarified his actions on his recent vlog. This was a dirty move and he was out of line for that.
Surprised no one is talking about how shady this hand was. From the beginning when Mariano was like oh oh I have 50k behind it’s just not on the table??? To dealer not cutting the deck then dealer lying about what Mariano said to the other guy in the hand. Seems like way more to this then the Robbie hand
Hustler's games are shady as hell....
Selective politics, mm jammed, on yang, mariano out of turn says “ what is going on here, ( sitting with the nuts) angle, end of story!
Mariano with that fake ass Oh my God what is happening this is terrible I’m going to win so much money!!! I can’t when people do that!!!😂
I think he's really good friends with MM, so was sick that he was about to stack him for a quarter of a mill! (hence telling him as soon as MM had gone all in that he had A's so he didn't have to stew for 5 mins waiting for Yang to make a decision). Stupid move in more ways than one, but I don't think it was show boating and certainly not an angle attempt knowing how Mariano normally is.
wow Lauren really backed up Mariano here, straight up lying to save his ass, I hope he tipped her really well after that.
These type of hands only happen on stream in these type of locations... its not coincidence.. just sayin
Shout out to chapelle in full rick James costume!
You can clearly hear Mariano say “MM” so fucked up tbh. He should have had to repeat it to Yang.
MM was not in the hand as far as any more play was concerned, he had already gone all in, so telling MM had 0 consequences on the rest of the hand. Telling yang however does effect future play, this is why he was not told.
Yang should have 5 bet to 50k and fold to any shove. IMO
Poker commentator Rob Kuhn has apparently taken down his video on this hand in which his caption referenced controversy. Hmm.
Yeah I noticed that, I wonder if it got flagged from hustler?
@@DaftFader well... I don't think Hustler handled the hand in the best way possible and certainty they may be sensitive of late.
@@MelodyMaker Yeah I thought the same thing, I wouldn't want that out there if I was them, especially not long after the J4 sh1t too lol. They were lucky this hand probably played out how it was supposed to, but it very nearly didn't.
Even then, if they intended to tell Yang what Mario said, they messed up due to the dealer's misquote, and imo they messed up in the decisions to tell him in the first place. It's only by shear luck the dealer didn't hear Mariano fully and misquoted him that the hand played out normally. Also a ton of people are gonna think it was intentionally ignored too. What a mess!
We'll know if this one goes down too, although I doubt Doug would pull it even if they tried.
@@DaftFader Kuhn's video returned for a period of time yesterday but now I see it's been taken down again after I and another deliberated on the topic yet again in a thread. Your commentary touches exactly on the sensitive nature of the hand. If the dealer was compelled to share with Yang what was said between Mariano and Double M in confidence but messed up the quote.... one would presume that she did so because house rules or general poker rules prevent communication between players in confidence at the exclusion of another player in the hand. The obvious material representation made in confidence was that Mariano exclaimed that he had aces. I suspect that the dealer omitted the part about the aces in relaying what was said between Mariano and Double M because she did not hear that part but her action by relaying some of what was said would indicate that rules required her to do so. Now this omission about the aces obviously proves relevant given Yang's call. Hustler should have taken pause with the hand prior to Yang's action in calling off his stack given that Yang showed some concern along with the reaction of Mariano which seemed to show a rush to get to showdown.
@@MelodyMaker Yeah, I agree, this seemed like a rushed decision and they should of taken a pause, spoke to both mariano, MM and then Yang one by one indavidualy off camera to find out what happened and then proceeded. However, that's bad stream footage, so I think their desire to have a smooth stream actually detracted from what could of been a better resolution to what was essentually a misunderstanding.
Lol "trying to be nice" while taking Fortunes from each other...
Id rather just be stoic
How does yang not fold when you know one or both of them got A's
Doug just explained what he thought the reason was, maybe that's what Yang was thinking, because the flatted calls two times...
Mariano made it more weird then it had to be by his reaction. I think he genuinely was in disbelief because damn, how often do people get involved in a 800k pot. But he’s been tinkering in these nose bleeds long enough to know to stfu. But good for him. If you can’t enjoy what him in Rampage are doing right now you probably a hater
I had this happen to me in a 1-2 game and it was only like an $800 pot and i wanted to flip the table. Can’t imagine how Yang and double M felt
Why did Mariano say “don’t worry about it”???
Because the guy he was talking to wasn't in the hand anymore (with regards to decision making) as he'd gone all in already, so what he said didn't matter, and he probably didn't want his hand being told to the one person it did matter if they heard it, yang. So saying "don't worry about it" he's saying I'm talking to a person who can't influence the action anymore, and who's not making any more decisions themselves, and they didn't speak back to him (which would of been a problem as he's still in the hand), so there's nothing to worry about, which is true.
Because the interaction did not change the decision. MM was already all in, no more action there. If MM had told Mariano that he had Kings, THAT would potentially influence some action. However, the way Mariano said it, it was the alcohol talking, and probably his elevated heart rate/adrenaline, which seemed kind of rude, but understandable.
Too bad jiggities weren't involved
Yang needs a $250,000 hearing aid
that also translates?

14:51 what I’ve learned from upswing polker is when you don’t know you do, it’s likely a mix of raise, call, or fold. Everything is always on the table.
poor mariano only had 2 options all the way
The highlight of this clip is Nik Airball translating for Yang.
And the dealer should've really clarified that Mariano said he had aces, instead of just saying "something crazy"
Mandarin speaker here; All Yang was saying is “I don’t know what they were saying to each other”
Doug don't let up any on that Soy Boy Berkey.
Was there some form Mariano had to sign after this because of the amounts involved? What was that?
Doug you are a machine with all this content.
Mariano saying.."I have Aces" is completely irrelevant. He could have been lying about his hand. He could have had Queens. Doesn't matter if Yang understood him or not.
Breaking news BREAKING NEWS!!!! Doug Polk creates content for the sole purpose of reducing his liability for an overlay in his upcoming 2 Million Dollar Guaranteed Tournament! Breaking News: I see through the BS but clicked anyways!
Mariano has definitely learned a valuable lesson, STFU until everyone is done with their action.
Doug did you hire a whole new crew that's pumping out all these videos for us?? What a treat.
Doug will want to kill me for this, but the Phil Hellmuth school of white magic comes into spots like this. Yang calling off there is just lighting money on fire. There's a 0% chance one of his opponents doesn't have Aces there. Sometimes you have to go with a read and even a beginner could read that situation well enough to know he was up against Aces from at least one of them, if not both.
F'n sucks to get it all in pre w/KK and be drawing almost dead...

I like this video n how u digest it
Yes Mariano try being nice to tell MM he got AA , but like u said , with this type of action preflop , MM probably know he might up against Aces too , no need Mariano to mention , playing 700k pot , MM cannot wait 10m plus to find out , with this much money in the middle , Yang look 😵💫, like wtf r they talking , Mariano been playing so long and this is a huge pot , he really should of wait for his turn to act. Also , they been running it twice most of the night anyway , that not because he try to be nice or what , he run a 10k pot twice with Dario too , I hope Mariano at least apologize to yang
Cuz Yang don’t know he got aces, he might think if he call MM all in , Mariano might fold too ( cuz Mariano can have QQ or AK suited with the preflop action )
Beside MM was down all night , Yang might think his KK is good head up vs MM

Chances of this happening are probably similar to hitting jackpot on the slots
Coming up next week, Mariano flops top set vs middle set vs bottom set vs top two and stacks the whole table for 1.7 million dollars
I can’t help but think about the Coleman/Seiver AA vs 99 hand when looking at this one. Different here cause there are three players involved, but I always think about how you said in the Coleman hand how it is nearly impossible to be balanced this deep in 5/6-bet pots. I have to say I am really not a fan of Yang’s 5-bet or DM’s 6-bet for this reason. They are playing their hands face up as even some of the best players will not construct 5/6-bet pots with enough bluffs to balance their range. It is impossible to play well when your range contains 2, maybe 3 hands, as it does when Yang decides to 5-bet. Amazing analysis as always, just thought I’d drop my two cents.
The way the dealer covered for Mariano is very fishy … hustler is the shadiest place to play poker
This is a nightmare cooler
Would have been funny if board run straight or 2222A for split pot :)
I got into a similar situation in an online $1/$2 game once in a dream run having stacked the guy on my right 2 hands in a row then I pickup aces. It was a 3 way all in pre flop with both players showing kings. My heart skipped a beat when the flop came down 10 J Q but I took it down. That was about 15 years ago but it’s still the most memorable and profitable poker session of my life. Sat down with $200 and was up just over $1000 in less than 10 mins. 😊
Similar in the card distribution, but not in the amount of BBs. This lads got in 1250 BBs each. This has to be one of largest poker pots in terms of big blinds ever. Our man cashed almost 4K big blinds, it is insane.
Oh hell yeah! This is a whole other level. These guys actually had some real decisions to make. The hand I played went down exactly how you’d expect a low stakes online hand like that to go... all the chips were in the middle in less than 10secs. I’d only been playing a year or so at the time and I’ve never seen a hand like it until today. It was great to see it done well and with great commentary!
To be fair. The money was going in anyways.
He said "I have Aces" but he couldn't say to that chinese guy
Because the Chinese guy was the only one left to act other than him when he said it, so if he heard it it would effect the action.
First, Double M made a bad all-in call. Then, Yang made an even more stupid call after Double M already jammed.
Yang knows what Aces means if he heard it lol
Doug Polk is the greatest of all time
Did anyone else notice nik giving mariano a stack of chips? 2:43
Listen to the dealer. She says he’s playing 50k behind. So Nik slides him 50 in chips to highlight the point. Later in the hand when the floor brings Mariano his 50k, he tells them to put it on Niks stack
Mariano had a lil too much to drink. He definitely should've just not said anything.
Nice scenario for Mariano off to Sizzler
love the douger hands, vanessa
The scenario every poker player has wet dreams about.
Who remembers the Doug Polk drought? 😅
Wonder if he knew the 3rd guy couldn’t understand even if he heard ergo. Didn’t really reveal anything.
That's why I only get it in with KK when I get a live read that neither of my opponents has AA, or if they do, my other opponent does not also have KK. Live reads like this are difficult to get, I know how to do it. If you know how to do it too, don't tell anyone, but leave a response to my comment.
Whats the paperwork he gets handed immediately after the hand?
It looks like he's signing for chips, probably loaning money to someone else to table
@@rockybullshite927 darios 40k loan
@@suchabadbeat2617 or maybe because Mariano asked for $50k (as he said "I have 50K behind") and he was signing for the 50k.... but then asked them to place on Nik's stack, presumably because Nik loaned Mariano the 50k in the interim.
I call bullshit. Mariano should give half Yang's money back. Yang was thinking about folding KK but probably saw the painful dejected soul of Double M sitting there - after Mariano told Double M he was up against AA - and after seeing Double M's face, Yang probably figured maybe his KK was good. Or maybe the whole scene just had Yang shook while he was trying to navigate a crazy spot. I'm sure the "don't worry about it" from Mariano didn't help matters either. Either way, Mariano should give back half Yang's money.
What kind of nonesense is this. Its poker, Yang made an awful call which is on him. We start giving half stacks back over any little thing then people will be trying that all the time. Big pot but minor incident.
Nice of Perkins to donate $100k to he heads up challenge to create some content.
Can't even imagine losing this kind of money on one hand
What would you do Doug if you were Yang?? Part of me feels like the language barrier was a issue but I don't think so. If anything it would've made me want to fold.
I'm genuinely wondering if Yang knew Mariano must of told his hand to MM, and was trying to get the house to tell him as a reverse angle. You're probably right tho, just a language barrier and no one could explain that it was irrelevant that Mariano spoke to MM, and that MM didn't reply so Mariano had no extra info himself being still to act, and MM was already all in so had no decisions left to make thus nothing that happened should effect anyone's decisions.
I was literally coming to your channel to request you review this hand. This was crazy. thanks!
It’s good to be young and lucky😌👍
I would've gone all I with AQ... In my world, no one could ever have anything better than that
Comment that makes most sense to me “how likely is it that neither player has AAs”
All your comments are summed up in your statement..."I don't know".... and that's the truth. I was on a 1/3 @ Sycun & saw the exact same hand. All in preflop... for $6k...a lot at 1/3... AA held. No straight or flush....and no one saw it coming b4 the flop... except people who were watching...not the players, the onlookers....poker.
Mariano was out of line with side chat and action still live. Period. That would be the case if they had starting stacks of a thousand bucks...let alone a quarter mill. He then made it worse by demanding his self-ruling of "it was nothing" be accepted. And then worse again by intimating that anyone who dare not acquiesce to his self-ruling is out of line...and might want to consider chilling. Maybe his drinking and the stress caused him to decide to pursue this line. Maybe he immediately knew he fucked up and struggled with how to extricate himself. Whatever the case, it was point-blank wrong and poorly handled. Don't do any of this kind of bullshit at business tables. Ever. And if you do, admit to your mistake and take your licks like a man.
There were a number of interesting decision points in this hand, but I do know one thing. Anyone that flats the 55k like Mariano has with AA has a history of running silly good in giant pots. Ultimately I think your goal given the action is to get someone to stick in 250k with KK, and I have to believe it is easier to get them to do that than risk a dangerous flop. Unlike a typical 4bet online flop, a wet flop contains any A/K/Q or the obvious 3 flush, QJx, etc. So truly safe flop probably only comes 20% of the time, think shoving the aces is best in a vacuum.
