What you said is true, but it's also pretty basic.
Recently I've heard Adam Savage share his outlook on this subject. He said "failure is not only an option, it required". And it clicked with me. I used to plan things for years and never start. And now I can't wait to start new things with a sole goal to fail. Every failure gives me indispensable information.
I even plan my failures now. I ask myself, how can I fail at this but in a controlled manner, where I get essential knowledge, but my failure destroys as little as possible of things I can't mend.
