One of the greatest and most under-rated bands of all time.. The Classic IV. Four or five if the greatest love songs of all time. They'll still be playing them 100 years from now.
I love Dennis Yost!!!! Oh how much he is missed and loved by his fans...thank you for bringing me joy when I listened to your songs...wish you were still here
I saw him at an outdoor concert. It started to rain and everyone ran for cover under the stands. I found myself standing right next to Dennis and Barbara Lewis who sang “Hello Stranger.” Had a great 10 minute conversation.
I love this up tempo new version Dennis does here, a real jazzy-rock spin on and sang by the original man himself, .but nothing compares to the original its so cool.
What a great vocalist Dennis was. And the band's tearing it up. Sounding soooooooooooo good. RIP Dennis you left this a legacy of excellent singing and great songs. Thank you.
Dennis was sooooo talented ...Shortly after this Dennis was operated on for a Tumor on his vocal chord , which left it Paralyzed. Linda Yost told me , right here on You Tube, a crying shame..what a talent/voice.
This session was AFTER his vocal chord was paralyzed. Since singing was IMPOSSIBLE with one vocal chord before Dennis and Dr Kim Moon developed a technique of breathing, and received 3 million dollar grant, to teach and help many cancer patients restore their voice. His vocal range was somewhat limited but Dennis used his vocal skills to create incredible music with the resources he had! So proud of his courage and ability to make lemonade when given lemons!
@@lvyostwow! Didn't realize any of that I've always been a fan and didn't know he had passed until recently was real sad about that. I guess maybe he smoked or something just a generational thing really sad. My father smoked two packs a day Pall Mall with no filter and he died of lung cancer at 44. Anyways, what a great talent and what courage to still perform after going through all that...pretty amazing guy! Stormy is my wife's favorite and I play it for her all the time we specially love that live version that's been on UA-cam for years it's really special.
Better singer than I originally thought, good timing as scat singer also; love his performance and good sax player piano player and guitarist . Nancywong
Correction. I'm not sure if it was a tumor, but one of his vocal chords became paralyzed. I don't want to post any false information. Linda Yost a a very classy person, and nice lady. I try to get my info right.
Not as good as the original;but when is it ever: Dennis Yost still rocks. Too bad he had to pass; . Everyday with you, girl is still my fave."though not as popular as Stormy Spooky or Traces. Still great music.
Dennis was singing with one vocal chord! He overcame the fact that it is IMPOSSIBLE to sing with one vocal chord! That is not sad…that takes courage and patience to develop a technique that enabled him to do what he loved AND help millions of cancer patients to gain their voices back! What have you done lately? Other than criticize a gifted artist who overcame his disability!

I saw him at an outdoor concert. It started to rain and everyone ran for cover under the stands. I found myself standing right next to Dennis and Barbara Lewis who sang “Hello Stranger.” Had a great 10 minute conversation.

Dennis was sooooo talented ...Shortly after this Dennis was operated on for a Tumor on his vocal chord , which left it Paralyzed. Linda Yost told me , right here on You Tube, a crying shame..what a talent/voice.

You can tell that that his range is extremely limited here. Ashame.

SAD LOSS DEPRESSING,GLAD TOM GARRETT WAS ABLE TO HELP OUT A VERY NICE GUY, CHEERS 12-11-22
Not("Worth") Gaining "World" & "Losing"-" Thine"Soul"---"Over"
Great times
Dennis conservo su hermosa voz👌🙌
Legends!!!!!
First seeing this video(2-22-22);
Spooky.
This spooky is very relaxed atmosphere.
Always live version is more impressive.
Nice version of the original.
WHOA! :)
Not the greatest reproduction but rest In peace Dennis. A true class act and under rated performer
cool!!
Gran músico me gusta
That is Gary Lewis and the playboys backing band. He must have been on the episode as well
Keep It To Yourself......Its "My Life"
"Evrybody(" Freeze"

I didn't think I'd like the up-tempo version but it may be better than the original!
Cool. Do you have one of him doing Stormy?
Sounds like same cords as Stormy
👏👏👏👏👏
How old is this performance, and who is the guitarist with the fancy hairdo ? ? ? ❤😢😮😊
Wolfman is so missed.
I hate when artists tune down a step or two, but I do love this guy though
Stay Calm
Quem sabe canta ao vivo, Dennys yost.
Who is Billy on guitar?
Don't no if it's the timing or tricky words that makes it hard2sing this compared2traces or stormy maybe I'm wrong but it's in my mind ok
Something How("Ugly")-"People")-"Sing")-"Like Humans
Spooky? Sounds like Stormy.
Isn't he singing this song in a lower key than the original.
Yes.
Yes, in D minor versus E minor as in the original. Even Art Garfunkel cheats a bit with the key register nowadays.
I would like to know what Dennis Yost died from.
I think he had a terrible fall.
Does nobody see, that in the front row sits George Harrison and his Wife|? Wow.....Classic 4
Was this from SNL? This version has an amazing uptempo kind of groove, bassline is gorgeous, almost better than the original one.
no; the original was magic and Dennis could really sing then. This is a show with no guts under it
I don't think so.
My grandma has the same perm.
Not as good as the original;but when is it ever: Dennis Yost still rocks. Too bad he had to pass; . Everyday with you, girl is still my fave."though not as popular as Stormy Spooky or Traces. Still great music.
Damn it's too fast!!!
Xspanku and our gang
A little too fast tempo, no? Slower groove would be better, IMHO.
Good thing he had the sax and guitar playing to cover his weak vocals.
Pretty weak vocals. So sad
