Okki , what is the power of the dc-dc step-up converter ? Did you use those 2A , 20KV diodes inside the box ? Is the converter alone is capable of maintaining continuous spark after it has been ignited by the HV pulse from the ignition coil of coarse?

So , you charge some additional capacitor ( connected in parallel to the spark gap via PRHVP 2A-20 diode (I suppose cathode to the capacitor,anode to the central electrode of the spark gap , charging polarity of the capacitor (+) to the ground )) with the 25W inverter to around 500V . The HV pulse from the ignition coil just trigger the capacitor discharge by ionizing the spark gap and lowering it resistance . Did you use any induction choke in series with the HV diode in order to slow down the rate of capacitor discharge, to restrict the current flow,to extend the discharge ( spark ) duration and to increase the lifespan of the spark plug electrodes? What is the value of the discharge capacitor? Thanks!

The converter power is around 25 Watts. Yes, I use that diode. This device cannot maintain the spark, the voltage is too low for this spark gap.

@@flappingflight8537 yes, you are right! No, there is no choke in my circuit. My discharge capacitor value is 2 µF.
