    A week ago I got recommended the guy that repaired an SEM from like 1970 the size of a small room and I think 100k max zoom and now I get this guy just casually having one the size of a mini fridge do 250kx. And now I want one.

      Haha, this guy with the old Jeol is a genius. Great (possibly the best) restoration video ever.
      Thanks for the comment!

      Same 😂 Since you've already watched these videos, I recommend you watch the video from the Branch education channel about electron microscopes, It's a real class with incredible animations, it's worth checking out.

    My dream consumer definitions have been updated. Electron microscopes have always fascinated me, they have so many uses and open up a world of discoveries. I am happy to know that, increasingly, they have become compact and accessible to the general public and not only for labs. Greetings from Brazil 🇧🇷

    This is the biggest nerd flex I have ever witnessed. If I could choose between a supercar and this, its this. Not even close.

      Same thing - you need a TEM with EDS(WDS) or something more complicated than a TT scope

      Unfortunately there are two problems... 1) viruses have already been seen 2) I need a TEM for this

      @@MicroscopySpecialist In my dreams i see various things, like green aliens from the Moon. The problem is i have no scientific proof that my dreams are describing the reality. At least, thanks for confirming that seen a virus before TEM, i.e. before 1986 was not possible.

    What does theirs go for ($) and have you used other desktop SEM brands to be able to give a comparison?

    • @MicroscopySpecialist
      @MicroscopySpecialist  Місяць тому +1

      1. Price inquiry - please contact me via email (you can find it in "About").
      2. Yes, I had experience. Coxem EM30, Phenom.
      Each microscope has its pros and cons. SEC has advantages that i really like - changing the sample = Vent+Vac around one minute. It's extremely fast.
      5 axis stage is also a good option and very useful.
      I'll prepare a video about resolution and adjustments. Phenom FEG has a higher resolution with higher price. So the choice is a difficult question. You should worry about warranty, service, price, payment method and other things. So for a benchtop SEM, SEC is my choice!

      @@MicroscopySpecialist people with a million subs dont even have this type of equipment and a very hard working chemist saved up the money to get this kinda equipment and also the video quality when you have 17 subs and also i thought u were a big ytuber
