Ey es gibt da so nen UA-camr in Korea der immer mit sonem Australier anhängt, der nie Englisch redet (Obwohl der aus Australien kommt und erst wenige Jahre in Korea lebt) und die haben mal son Video gemacht, da hat der Koreaner nur Deutsch gesprochen und der Koreanisch redende Australier war verwirrt und es wurde super cringy als der Koreaner dann auf Deutsch gesungen hat^^ (OK er hat Koreaner Lieder ins Deutsche umgesungen, aber OK) und stell dir mal vor er hätte diesen Koreaner getroffen und ihn angelabert lol

JustMae Naja nicht immer. Ein Freund von mir der dunkelhäutig ist, wurde richtig mies von einer älteren Koreanerin behandelt, dass er sogar deshalb in der Bahn saß und geweint hat. Aber es gibt immer Ausnahmen. Man sollte das nicht pauschalisieren.

Not true. I´m still learning, because not speaking Korean in Korea can still be very stressful and a lot of people could misunderstand you.

This was great, I felt the same way in Japan. Everyone would stop what they were doing and take you to where you need to go. I now live in Munich, Germany and I feel the German's here will do the same. They are really helpful in Bavaria. I've not experienced such openness and kindness in other parts of Germany, but some do try to help, but here in Munich they are very helpful. :)

I guess. I'm German and I'm fluent but I live abroad however usually Germans have a strong accent while speaking English so you can tell they're foreigers but his surprised me as it is pretty good. Maybe he lived abroad too.

Yeah I am currently learning German. One thing I realized is that Asians should focus on things other than English. As a Korean person I thought English was enough but learning German is also very useful in my opinion and personally, I found it sounds really cool compared to other European language(Even French). Ich lerne Deutsch und Ich mag es.

this video was super super fun to watch!! I am Polish (from Poland) and whenever I meet a foreigner I try to be as detailed as possible when it comes to givign directions. Once I met an Italian girl and her mom while I was walking around. We ended up spending the entire day together and I walked them around Warsaw and to pay off they bought me a meal in the restaurant, it was amazing! Also my mom met a group of Japanese tourists and walked them to the central station to avoid trouble and misunderstanding. In Poland we are very helpful and friendly too!

The reason everyone tried to take him to the place is because they don't speak any English.. But in Germany since almost eveyone can speak English, they will just tell you where to go. (I'm a Korean by the way)

@@mondstadtvlogs what I want to highlight is the Hollywood stereotype that influences people worldwide. That hand gesture is Not used as a greeting in all of Asia
I actually woudn't say, that it came from that. I think, it has a history from the Middle Ages. For me, he was saying "Thank you" and "Sorry for bothering you" with the hand gesture. Sometimes it is used as a apolegetic hand gesture. Sorry for my bad english. I hope, everything is understandable.
It is an apologetic hand gesture in germany, so i think it has more to do with him apologizing for disturbing them. Also bowing to thank, apologize or when introducing oneself/saying goodbye is common in germany. Nowadays it is more a slightly stronger nodding, so a gesture hinting at actual bowing, though it can be quite funny seeing elderly people on the telephone talking to officials, as they keep constantly bowing to the phone ^^. Since he had to exaggerate his gesticulation to be understood anyway, it only seems natural to actually bow aswell.

Yay I am from Germany, too and I was in Korea last month. I was lost almost everyday and asked people for help and everyone was so nice and helped me. Also I tried to carry my luggage upstairs and some guy helped me. So nice of him! I had the time of my life there. I really want to come back some time. :)
