WANNA DATE?!??? When I was in High School, I worked at a record store that also had video rental. The VHS box had a button on the front that you pushed and a little speaker would play "WANNA DATE?!?" 😂
Brain Damage is still my favourite of Frank's, but this runs a close second. Patty Mullen is clearly having an absolute blast in this film and has great comedic chops. It might not be Henenlotter's greatest in my eyes, but it's still an absolute classic.
Earlier this year I introduced my friends to the films of Frank Henenlotter and we all had a blast. Henenlotter’s commitment to just having all out fun with the outrageousness of his films while occasionally dipping into some truly freaky stuff is nothing short of amazing. Once we got to Frankenhooker we thought, “How can Frank top himself with this one?” Needless to say, he did just that in more ways than one and Frankenhooker wound up becoming a group favorite (it sits right behind Brain Damage as my favorite Henenlotter film). 😊
I Remember My Uncle Rented This Movie on Video There Was This Videostore Called Royal Video When I Was a Kid and It Wasn't Too Far From My House And my Uncle And My mother kept Telling me over and over again it Wasn't a Kids Movie But I Didn't Care It Was Around '95/'96 at the time I Was 8 or 9 years old Then After I took a Nap on my uncle's Bed my grandma played Frankenhooker and I Watched it with one eye open pretending to be asleep. Now at The age of 37 Watched Frankenhooker Again on TUBI a Few Months Ago in all It's Uncensored Comedic Horror Glory.
I don't know, I find the main character in this incredibly entertaining from his voice to his mannerisms, personality, bags under his eyes and so on. I didn't really miss Frankenhooker before she appeared nor was I going "when's the Frankenhooker going to show up", I was thoroughly enjoying the movie well before then.
Frank Henenlotter is kinda like the John Waters of Surreal Body Horror Films Frankenhooker is kind of like Weird Science meet The Man With Two Brains with Steve Martin Meet Re-Animator set in a Taxi Driver style New York City this is one of his best films it's one of the weirdest and most creative horror films i ever seen since i first discovered it this film's tone felt like it belonging to the Adult Swim show Aqua Teen Hunger Force because of it's bizarre tone in humor that was seen in Aqua Teen i think the film remind me of it overall this film is a horror classic of the early 90s and i still remember it to this day thank you for this video Joblo Wanna Date!
I remember going in expecting this film to have nothing but the concept going for it, but I found it hilarious and really enjoyed it on subsequent watches.
I didn't know it was the same director for these movies. I love these movies reminds me of my childhood and my dad r.i.p that let me watch rated R movies when I was a kid.
this is worse than todays shock body horror movies. spread the word. i guess there is a reason ive never seen it and even owned a video store that rented it out to others and all. shame on me. ha jk

Great video , good job
Basketcase 1& 2 are amazing, and frankenhooker is awesome 👌
Considering Patty Mullen was a Penthouse 'pet' before this film, her comedic timing was excellent.
Heather Hunter ❤️❤️
"They screened the film and said they were going to rate it S for Shit" ok I laughed.
This movie is definitely like a Tales from the Crypt episode.

My friend used to show this film as a tradition every Halloween party she threw.
What happened is...they made an awesome movie!!!!
I fucking LOVE this film.
The scene where that guinea pig blows up is so realistic it actually looks like it happened for real.

This is the peak of cinema
Cult classic
For the longest time, I thought Andrew McCarthy was the lead in the movie. This was my favorite or Frank's movies.
YEAH!! I thought it was him too.
First he was in love with a Mannequin now he's in love with a Zombie Hooker that's the weirdest thing i ever heard in my life about him.

I remember seeing this film in the video store back in the days but I never rented it. It sounds so crazy and I should've rented back then. 😂
