  • After breakfast, we are taken to the airport. It's time to leave Mulu behind us and fly to Kota Kinabalu (KK).
We just love these really small airports. Since all the passengers were already there and the plane was on time, we boarded half an hour earlier than planned. After less than 50 minutes we land at KK, order a Grab (a kind of Uber from Asia), and we’re at the reception of our new accommodation within half an hour. It is a nice & colorful hotel with small(!) rooms and good facilities. And very close to the center (Toojou Hotel).
We are about 150 meters from “the center” of KK. Everywhere you find (especially very local) eateries, shops, larger malls & the boulevard is within walking distance.
The fast internet made it easy for us to upload our photos, work on our UA-cam videos, and do some mail & calls that were still on our to-do list. In the meantime, we selected some nice places to eat where we were pleasantly surprised with new flavors. The 'Dry Bah Kut Teh' was particularly popular and good We were the odd among all the Chinese guests and stood out…
On Wednesday morning Harry had some waterfun. We found an operation online (Waterfly Bonaire) where he could rent an E-foil in KK. So let's have some fun playing on the water. Once again riding a different brand of board/e-foil and therefore a new experience with a nice bite of salt water in between ;-)
Walking around town Tham had a touching moment when she was surprised at the local market where the atmosphere, smells, and views brought back memories from her youth with her grandparents. Enjoy the video and let us know what you think. We appreciate you subscribing to our channel 🙏🏼

KK is one city I felt like it is worth to invest in to keep a condo. Let the agent do the Airbnb and return back to use for my own holiday.
