    Such a fantastic bit of kit! Seriously considering a Fermzilla with one of these! Cracking video mate 🍻👌

    First time you pull that valve leaver 😍 We got caught out by the overall height too. And apparently if you run a vacuum through it it’ll enlarge the old John Thomas too! The Aussies think of everything 😂

    Hi Rick another great video just a suggestion why not keep the yellow carbonation caps just for product and the red for gas (or visa versa) then you won’t need to faff about with the blue tape ❤

    Hey Rick, a couple pieces of wood or anything under the stand turned upside down will keep it off the floor. Doesn't need to be big.

      Great idea I’m definitely going to have a look at doing that cheers 👍🍻

    I love simple solutions and this really fits the bill.
    I also love Citra Mosaic - its a classic combo and used in what is often considered to be one of the world's greatest beers; Focal Banger.

    I agree with Andy - make a lower wooden box with a big hole in it, make the edges rounded and it will work. Or maybe a stand for a allrounder will work... 🍻

    You can also add hops in via the trub dump, no need to take fermzilla out of the fridge 🤷‍♂️

    Great vid Rick, but have to say, it looks awful fiddley. The proof will be in the tasting, do you think it will make much difference overall? I'm doubtful.

    I picked up a king chubby 20 litre pressure fermenter, it fits fine in the fridge. I haven’t used it as I’m going to use it for lagers in the summer, do you apply some pressure at the start Rick or do you set the spunding valve and let the pressure build up naturally?

    • @BrewabitRick
      @BrewabitRick  8 місяців тому

      I let the pressure build naturally and just set the valve but I’m a proper newbie at pressure fermenting really. Cheers 👍🍻

  • @mikebeswick3420
    @mikebeswick3420 8 місяців тому +1

    Hi. Could you not just blow gas out slowly from your fermentation vessel and pop the hops in. Or am I missing some thing. Small amounts of dioxygen would be used up in further fermentation. What do you reckon

    • @BrewabitRick
      @BrewabitRick  8 місяців тому

      You could and that’s what I did on my first dry hop but the c02 in the beer as I released the pressure made the krousen grow and pilled out of the top making a big mess. Spent at least 1/2 hour releasing the pressure out of the prv. The first time I’ve done it pressure fermenting and I’m no expert on doing it yet but this did seem really easy although it did cost Santa 😭cheers 👍🏼🍻

    The tall fridge problem is why I talked myself out of it.
    Must say though the new fermzillas with triclamps look like a much better idea than the older versions like I have. Might be tempted next time I have some spare cash...
    Is the bong itself glass?
    I like the sound of the asking your family for the hop schedule video looking forward to that.
    100% agree with your review on BKT they sorted everything of my keezer out, and when I got my fermzilla there was a slight leak just replaced it no questions. Amazing.
    That's settled it for me, wasn't gonna have a beer tonight but now I am 😂😂.
    🎅🎅🎅 Merry Christmas Rick. Cheers. Great video as always.
