Exploring Colorado's Incredible Offroad 4x4 Trails!

- I loaded Cassies LJ on the trailer and headed out on a wheeling trip!
The first leg of the trip (for me) was Ouray Colorado. I had never been to Colorado, and never done any offroading or trails out there either... It was an amazing experience!
I was invited on this trip by Austin and Joey, two of my Coast Guard buds from South Padre. They started out the trip running Holy Cross, unfortunately i wasn't able to make it out in time for that day. The plan was to run multiple trails around Ouray, and then head west to spend a few days in Moab!
We ran Poughkeepsie Gulch, California Gulch, Mineral Point and Creek, and half of Imogene Pass (half closed due to landslides).
The newly installed Big Brake kit worked flawlessly and was a fantastic upgrade paired with the new larger master cylinder (especially on these steep passes).

Colorado is an exceptionally beautiful place. I miss it.
You definitely chose an insanely beautiful area of colorado to visit for your first time. Of course, all of Colorado is absolutely gorgeous and the trails are like no other. Exactly why I moved here!

That spot on Poughkeepsie at 3:46 is where I banged my rear bumper pretty good a couple weeks ago and put a nice dent in it! Need to try and massage it back out! 😎
Love wheeling in the San Juans...don`t love some of the drop offs along the trails though...

There are some serious rock crawling trails just north of Montrose. You need to come back out here and play some more.

It's kind of a shame you only got one day in the San Juan region as there are some really cool trails in the area. Definitly a place to spend a week and explore. I would suggest mid-late July / early August as most of the snow shold be gone and the rain hasn't completely moved in yet.
You definitly missed out by not being able to do Holy Cross City road.

What radio is in your LJ? I guess radio is probably the wrong term, but it's way fancier than the stock one in mine and I like CarPlay in my other vehicles.

F250, way more than enough for it haha
What dates were on in Colorado? I traveled from Ohio to that area in August
early September
