hi tks for all the great vids keep it up love it. could you enlighten me on one speargun rubber verses two I have a couple of old guns here that i put new rubbers on but was expecting more range seam to be getting about 1.5 mtrs would i expect more distance with double rubbers on ?
In summary yes, of course you will have more power/range with 2 rubbers. But it depends on the length of you speargun, how long is it? Single rubbers are usually fine on longer guns. I use two 14mm bands on my 120cm gun as its easy to load, heaps of power and nice and smooth vs one big fat rubber which is hard to load and more recoil
Thanks mate. It depends on length of speargun/and shaft thickness. Just contact your local/nearest spearfishing specialist store and they can assist you. Or flick me a message on instagram or alike I can help you.
Hey there, one of my spearguns is rigged with x2 14mm bands, the other is a roller gun using 16mm rubber. You can use a single 16mm band if your speargun is no shorter than around 900 and you get close enough. For the really big kingies ideally want twin rubbers. A lot depends on the Hunter
Twin 14mm with a 7mm spear? Thanks for the information! Interesting to see how other places in the world do their rubbers. In South Africa lot of the guys swear by a 1.1m reel gun with a single 20mm rubber or as you said a roller head with a 16mm all with a 7mm shaft for kingies
@@JSJ-mn8wg yep 7mm shaft on 120cm gun. Beef it up twin 16mm bands and 7.5mm shaft is a mint setup. There's so many ways to rig a speargun. As long as its accurate and has enough power then that's all that matters!
Cheers! No, different people/countries use different terms for this. if you hear the term 'gun bungee' that is the small rubber band on the muzzle of the speargun about 15cm long.
@@olliecraig-primalpursuit I do get that. But giving some more detailed information about double power band setup and how that is effecting the length etc, is all I was asking from a video named " how to make speargun rubbers".
It is called 'how to make speargun rubbers' because that is what it is about. Its not called 'how to set up your speargun'. I will try do a more detailed vid about thst in the future. Cheers.

Hi! Thanks for the video. I wonder how long is that wishbone cord from one band's end to another at the end of the video.
About 25cm before tying the knots If I remember.
Hey bro great video , i was wondering how do you know how much of length of the rubber you need?

What diameter rubber do you use for shooting kingies

Niceo video! is there a difference between "rubbers" and "bands"?. I will subscribe to your channel, very interesting.!

Are you useing paracord for the wish bone
Its A Dyneema, You could basically use anything that will not damage too easily from loading on the notch.
The length of the rubber is the most important part. Ask your local shop? Dislike mate!
I'm not going to list a rubber length for every gun setup in the world....
