Such a gorgeous color! How did you pre-cut and measure the side body/part that goes under the doors before application? It's a bit of an oddball shape.
Make an L with your left hand and then a reverse L with your right hand and touch your thumbs. That’s essentially what those pieces look like and then the center is used for the rear doors and trunk!

Paint should be fine. There may be some glue left behind but that can be removed. No car washes, I recommend basic soap and water washes. 99% of my wraps get ceramic coated as well

Matte finishes attract and hold dirt and dust. That's why machines and equipment ( and automobiles) have always been painted with glossy finishes.The rougher the surface, the better the adhesion. That's the very reason painters de-gloss existing surfaces before they apply new ones.
Awesome wrap! I’ve always wanted to do a whole car PPF for my car but I think it’s too old for that, maybe my next car (will be a model 3!). Would you say it’s worth it to do the whole car or just the front? And if you do PPF, are you taking on customers?
On a model 3 if you’re worried about the paint I would do full front and the rocker panels. The back of the car doesn’t need it IMO. Save that extra 3-4K for something else. Unfortunately I haven’t learned ppf yet but I 100% will be soon!
So I saw you did a model y same color I did Matt russet red , so I have a question,do you have a problem with the sensor. It say no park assist available.. I didn’t not cut out the sensor I just wrap around
I did temporarily but it fixed itself as far as I know. If the rear bumper works then you know it’s not a film issue.. what it sounds like to me is the bumper didn’t get plugged in. If the sensors are blocked there’s no error you just don’t get the chimes. If the bumper isn’t plugged in you’ll get the park assist error. Hope this helps
@@txkos yep. I usually make prep a full day because after the car is prepped then you have to cut all the film into the pieces you need for the wrap. Takes another hour or two
That's the part I would hate everyday getting in and out of the car, seeing the white all along the inside of the doors. Can that also be wrapped? I guess it would be better getting a black or dark grey color to begin with so there isn't such a harsh contrast there.
@@jeffs6090 black is the safest bet. The jambs can be wrapped but it would add at least $1k to the job as doors have to be removed, more material used etc.
Out of all the cars I've ever wrapped, Tesla's are the easiest and more rewarding to look at.
They are definitely easier. 99% of the ones I wrap are white so that makes them all a little more difficult. Definitely love the result on them!

You can pay a lot extra to have that wrapped as well. The doors are open for less than 1% of the time so it’s not really worth it

55ft or so with 0 mistakes.
I taught myself how to do it so it’s definitely possible.
Will you be able to post the video of how you setup an inlay around the rear bumper reflectors please.
