  • Follow along as we soak up every minute of staying at the Hilton in Tahiti. Because we were incredibly sunburned from Bora Bora we spent a lot of time in doors. I this video I share the Papeete market, dinning options at the Hilton, the hotel gym and fun by the pool side. This was so relaxing, I feel incredibly grateful to have the opportunity to experience it! I hope you enjoy watching!

I've seen a couple of videos on the Hilton on Tahiti (I'm also a Hilton honors member so I remember the emails about this hotel opening up), I believe it use to be a Travel Lodge. I was disappointed in the rooms NOT being traditional Polynesian style, hell the rooms there are just a hotel room. Have stayed at the Hilton on Moorea (very Polynesian style rooms), and stayed at the St. Regus on Bora Bora (also very Polynesian style rooms) both Hilton and St. Regus were overwater bungalows. I want to be immersed in local culture, eat at local businesses, and stay in a room where it's local culture. Don't mean to take away from your vlog, was more disappointed with Hilton not going traditional Polynesian, but it was already an established hotel not built.

Yes I believe it was a different hotel previously, it sat vacant for 10+ years then was renovated when the Hilton bought it. Yes I could see how you'd be turned off with the style of the room. It is a simple room. However I felt like little elements of the Polynesian culture were sprinkled thought the rest of the resort. Compared to the Hilton in Moorea, yes there are very little Polynesian vibes. We also stayed in an overwater bungalow at the Hilton in Moorea, that video will go live today! Although I found that the Hilton in Tahiti was much more up today and gave me more of a clean feel than the one in Moorea. The Hilton in Moorea felt really old and kinda raggedy. Also there were stay cats all over the resort in Moorea, which was really interesting.. You're not taking away from my video at all. I'm always happy when people share their experiences, I think it helps people make an informed decide on which hotel they want to stay in. Thanks for watching, I appreciate your feedback!
