I am doing a 51 chevy also ,I got the gearhead 12 circuit kit on a gm delphi panel, it came with gm steering wheel plugs , light sockets, flashers ,dimmer socket. The wire is gm color coded and was hot stamp labeled every 8 inches . Wires were extra long , with heavy insulation . I paid 120$ , It is well worth it .
If you are running signals the left and right tail and front lights have to have their own wire for brake/ signals that runs to the steering column switch.
I’m also fixing up a 51 learned a lot watching your videos. Glad you came back to your pickup box progress I was wondering if it’s ok to put body filler over top of epoxy primer. Keep up the good work!
What rubber did you install when doing the front fender? (Anti-rattle) I have some I bought from LMC but I’m not sure where they go exactly. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us newbies.
Was unable to tell if you had two wires marked "brake" light. Since they are also "turn signal", there needs to be two and are "right/left" specific. Could be that "spare" wire you added ?? ;o)
Funny, how when you're sitting there "narrating" your video, that brake booster up over your shoulder sure looks like it's on the right side of the cab. Surprised, with your "body work" ability, you didn't recess ("French) in some 56 Chevy/61 Chevy/59 Caddy tail lights into your rear fenders ??? ;o)
@@dirtydansrodncycle Damn !!!! Can't depend upon anything being "accurate" any more !!! Damn those tricky "digital nerds" !!! ;o) What else that we're looking at in our videos is "Bassackwards"????
Nice to see someone organized especially with wiring ,good advice for someone doing their own.
Your truck is sure getting there, it's looking great! Look forward to wiring updates!
Yeah...lots of interest in wiring

Looking forward to seeing your progress with the wiring. I purchased the system by Painless. We shall see.
I'll be showing all of it
I found a home for the 1948 Ford half ton in the 1976 Chevy half ton. Thanks for your help
I wasn't very helpful, but good for you!
Fenders look great! Hope you show more on wiring all the gauges, ignition and lights. Looks like it will take a lot of patience. 😅
Thanks....and yes, I'll show it all
What gauge wire

they do...guess I didn't get a clear shot of the doubled up wires

Yes, filler over epoxy is fine...I like to scuff the primer with 120 grit first...good luck with your project!
