Indeed, we're not supposed to detangle kinky/coily/curly hair from the roots. We start from the ends when detangling no matter what tool we use. I don't trust a lot of hair tool reviewers because they tend to purposely misuse it in order to sell it. And as a result, consumers are tricked into buying it and confused on why it doesn't work for them. I understand that you demonstrated the way the influencers demonstrated (most likely they cut out the portion where they were detangling for 4 minutes prior to showing the brush gliding through). I bought the Denman D38 because of AfrikanHairGod. I've used it on my blown out and kinky/curly hair and I like it. I was using a Wet Brush and I hated the way my ends snagged on the ball tips. Detangling was daunting because of that. And getting a professional trim didn't make it any better. Ball tipped brushes are just not it for kinky/coily/curly hair.
Yes give us the true tea before I spend my money 😂

So I don’t think you gave it a fair shot…. Her hair wasn’t fully saturated with water and technically your supposed to detangle from the bottom up to the root. I agree that it doesn’t detangle in one pass and I agree it’s worth the money. My experience was that it was way less breakage than when I use the normal wig brush and it was faster. For those reasons I do recommend. Y’all know y’all got some hair!!! 😅 just beautiful!!!
A lot of those videos I saw were on completely dry hair and they claimed it went straight through. Maybe I should’ve shown a few clips and did exactly what they did. I was actually amazed I got so far from the root to tip. I’m definitely going to buy another brush, it’s really good for scratching the scalp while detangling. I used it on myself the other day. It definitely works better than a wide tooth comb. 🤣#Ouch Thanks for watching.

No, I’ve never tried that brush, gotta look it up. ❤
I love my Felicia Leatherwood. It's not flimsy it's more and has more tension. Because it's so heavy duty if not use properly you can rip through your hair.
