I have type 4b hair and this was hand down the best detangling hair brush I've ever used. I will agree with you on the handle; it could be made with a better grip, but other than that, I love it.

Was gonna buy but thought 'let me check amazon' all way cheaper than the ads but none of the ads had type 4/afro hair, so i thought lets check UA-cam and see if this is the real deal. A brush similar to this brush is the Philips Flex brush (a cheaper version of the Curl Keeper brush). I enjoyed it for a while, really liked how easy it was to clean it and that my ends didn't get snagged on he bristles. But I suddenly felt like it was causing more harm than good; I was influenced to get the Denman 38 paddle brush (due to AfrikanHairGod) and I love it. Cleaning it is annoying, but it detangles my hair so fast when it's curly and when my hair is blow dried.
Now they are lying about on working on dry hair. I have thick waist length hair and it also took me a million and one passes 😂😂😂

I've had the exact same brush except from a different brand and it was a decent detangling brush but I felt like I had to do a more passes and didn't really feel like it was getting all of shedding hairs out so I definitely agree with you about the brush the only brush I use to detangle my hair is the denman d38 paddle brush works really well love the review❤❤
I find this brush works best when the hair is freshly washed and has been saturated. My 12yr old daughter has type 4 hair and super thick, just like yours, and it does great.
I def don't think it's going to last long and the handle is way too short. We love our FL brush the best though. Your hair is gorgeous girl❤
Have you tried the Pattern brush? That's currently my holy grail detangler tool

It was about the same as my tangle teezer tbh. I dont see it as a bad or better brush. My hair is 4b
The Felicia Leatherwood brush that i was recieved was waayyyy too hard/stiff.
I always rub my hand down a brush to see if its strong enough for my hair, if it lays down under my hand its staying in the store.
Use it in the shower!!!!
But why you brushing like that, let it actually pass through in one swipe, its a manual tool you control the brush strokes
I don't understand why everyone is using this tool on blown out straight hair. And a little water. What's they point. It's not really helpful
