- The 47th Annual Cornwell Tools Night Under Fire marked the starting point for Jack Beckmans return to Funny Car competition as he looked to get his license renewed in order to compete at the Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals in Brainderd, Minnesota. Here's a look at how his runs on Saturday were.

I met Jack Beckman a few years ago at Epping, what a great guy and he was busy with something as he said wait a minute for an autograph and he came right back. He's a veteran also!
I met Jack Beckman in Seattle. Went for a ride in one of Frank Hallie's 2 seat dragsters with him driving! He's a class act, and a great driver... congratulations Jack, you deserve it
The sport and class needs him back what an opportunity!
