- Xeno Clears the Newest Final Fantasy 14 Extreme Trial added in Patch 6.4 titled The Voidcast Dais, also known as Golbez Extreme. This is actually Xeno's second clear of the trial but I decided to upload this over the first clear because he answers some questions regarding PF and overall people speak more, first clear was a lot quieter.

These weapons look so generic
It needs a spectral dragon coiling it. In fact for all the weapons, it should have a shadow dragon coiling them.

I think it's just a holdover from ARR vets, back when every trial was a "primal". In fact the first trial that WASN'T a primal didn't come out until like 3.3 when you fight nidhogg.

@@sleep_apnea_ I see what you're coming from but I don't think so. Nobody "summoned" that shade of Nidhogg, and if the moment after his eyes are removed from Estinien is anything to go by, that shade had Nidhogg's actual soul. Less Primal and more like a Vengeful Spirit.
Dunno, had a blast in solo PF doing this today and got 8 totems and a weapon chest. Definitely my favorite EW Extreme so far.
just cleared it too with pf, was clutch but we finished 1 sec into enrage
Ye its really not too bad a fight alot of the mechanics u can just take the vuln stack and keep going plus even with deaths if your dps is okay it's clearable just wish my coffer rng was better lmao
This fight is ez mode especially with tank privilege xffing

DPS is forgiving, the knock back mechanic is easy if one marker is placed in center, got the clear in pf with 3 food.
Barbariccia wiped more parties in pf I think.
Have yet to beat it on pf. Managed to get to gale 2. As for the fight, Golbez is punishing, if you get a debuff or anything, you die and can potentially wipe the group. Rubicante was way easier becsuse 99% of the people just followed someone for fuse a s the other thing that I dont remember the name of, the asterisk shit.
Rubicante was also braindead because everyone outgeared the hell out of it.
It feels like people in pf become more stupid with each patch. Is it that hard to stand still and look at the direction you need to be knock backed?

PF got WAY smarter I would say......it used to be so much worse
@@russpc9739 nah man it's not the players. they're basically making the harder content more "accessible" in a way, so the players with lower "intelligence" can partake in this too, hence they start surfacing in PF. EW gives a considerably more "memorization" mechanics though
I wouldn't call this the hardest (i think Barbariccia was slightly harder) but the people who are saying that this is easier than Rubicante or Zodiark are definitely just baiting

@@dafire9634Even then Zodiark is still by far the easiest (and still very cool).
After the 2nd gale it gets easier, but its true its very punishing, with the meteors if one of you guys die thats basically a retry already(tho u can still survive) most mechanic almost requires the whole party to be alive.
I still find Barb to be the hardest and best EX this expansion but this is better then the other ones.
I havent tried doing this yet since I was focused on clearing Barbariccia (I just cleared last night), and now moving to clear Rubicante
Rubicante is an extremely boring fight, you won't be long getting there.

Definitely more difficult than Rubicante, the gales 2+ felt like it could roll some icewall orientations that are just fucked for the outer enum pairs.
I've bene PF'ing this fight for 3-4 hours now and seen enrage once... classic PF :^)
I have never seen the enrage. My group yesterday actually managed to clear the fight before the second gale 2, dps check is very forgiving.
To see how difficult is subjective, for me all the trials this expansion had the "endsinger" type of difficult, ridiculous easy but PF will make it difficult somehow.
Well i have some problems with mechanic like zodiark/rubicante rotating stuff as my spatial imagination kinda sucks( in this case thanks for safety Dorito guys), but honestly Golbez feels like one of easiest, compering to barbaricia when you have a lot of going on, really fast when its quite easy to make a mistake. Here you have a lot of time and you just moving to same pattern position with a lot of time and free space.

I pf'd it now for like 5 hours and people just cant figure out towers, dont ask me how or why
It shocked me that the bottleneck was the towers, I thought it'd be gale 2 or something 😂
But yeah pf can't handle towers
It really doesn't make sense. Every group has 1-2 people that just can't wrap their head around looking at their character.
Cleared this fight in a couple hours, haven't seen many people make mishaps on towers. I'm a pf only person too so this is really weird.
@@KhronosTrigger I've done 3 lockouts now, seen past towers in only 2 or 3 pulls. Each group has had 1 or 2 people that fuck it up every time and it's always the same couple people(usually healers :) )
Probs the strat, t/h south dps north. 3 tower always on north 2 always on south. Look north or south depending on role

This fight was pretty easy. It seems like Xeno is starting to show his age.

Different people will have a harder/easier time with different types of content, I don't think it's fair to Xeno to say he is bad because he had a harder time than you at a specific fight.

tbh the only hard thing in this fight is gales 2, someone will always die and snowball into a wipe, but every other mechanic is very simple to understand and execute.
Fight as a whole is not hard, it's just more punishing, like I wiped to the kb thing more then anything else in pf and most of the time is one person. I do think that with better gear it will be wayy easier. Still very cool fight. Though Barb is still my favorite for her pasing.

I don't love the fight because the pacing is kinda weird but at least it's harder than most of the others. Barb is still my favorite from this expac though
this fight is easier then rubicante and barba, but this clown of a streamer has to sell every new raid as being "muh hard" for his cohort of clear sellers

@Robatic it's definitely in the top 3 easiest trials this expac, I'd even wager top 2. Mechanically it's very simple. Way easier than Barb and slightly easier than Rubi.
Honestly I didn't find GolbEx that difficult, at least not compared to Barb. I'm willing to bet she's going to be this expac's heaviest hitting Ex Trial.
Pf definitely struggling
Yep I feel you I been stuck in tower+meteor because everyone can't use their eye or move out a little bit to see their marker.
Stop being in crap parties. If people can't get passed double meteor in two tries leave. I beat this in a couple hours on pf because I kept getting people that were able to adapt fast and understand the mechanics by seeing it 2-3 times.
Same ;-; I wanna practice gale 2 and the rest of the fight but keep getting stuck in tower/meteor because of one player you pickup in pf constantly being clueless about where to go or dying right before the mechanic goes off and my friends are too nice to kick anyone. I try to be understanding but man... I only have so much patience...
This fight looks so sick. I don't play XIV anymore, but they did my boy Golbez right. Only minor nitpick is why does he have a sword and what's up with his voice. 😅
the story shows that it's not really Golbez under that armor :)
They jebatted the absolute shit out of us, because (spoilers for 6.4 for those reading)
There’s a duo within the 13th, Golbez, and a guy named Duarnte. The man we assume to be Golbez dies, and then Duarnte assumes his name and armor to honor him. It’s super interesting, because it makes me think that the Golbez that died, was Golbez from 4, and that Duarnte is the stand in for Cecil, assuming his brother, or partner in this case, name and armor to honor him and bring his people liberation.
Who knows what they’re gonna do for 6.5, but damn will it be good.
Because they are using thordan's animations. Whom is a swordfighter.

For me I guess gale 2, the only part I might mess up on. But from what I’ve seen in pf people mess up the towers a lot
Unforgiving. If you or anyone elses messes up, you either get one shot or everyone else gets one shot. Not a lot of room for error.

Idk, I beat this fight blind on day1 in pf. Day2 however when the Hector guide came out, people just went ape and been arguing about boss relative vs true north for the group stacks lol. Got 6 clears tho so I won't be touching it for a while

Yup, blind runs are usually very clean on the first day to clear, once guides come out then everything gets messy cause of 10 different ways of doing the same mechanic. You'd think having the DC's opened up we'd all be on the same page but fuck no. There's always the people that can only do TN or Relative, can't do both and adapt like a human being with a brain.
I found Ruby Can't See to be the hardest personally

From my experience, pf had a harder time with barb.
Maybe it's the hardest of the expansion, but that's not exactly the highest bar tbh.
Hydi was pretty easy, though I think it was good for the start of the xpac.
Zod was painfully easy.
Rubi was just Zod again halfway through the xpac for no reason.
Barbi wasn't really any harder than the others, it was just faster.
Singer....mostly just came down to the 4x impact at the end, but idk if can call it difficult for a single mech.
Is Golbez hardest just for having double meteor and gale 2/3? I suppose.
It's the hardest because you are at the mercy of someone else. For example If a player dies right before the meteor, it's a wipe. And that's something you cannot control, especially not in pugs.
To say it's the hardest of a group of something does not mean that it's particularly hard. Its a statement of relevancy. Get yalls panties out of a wad
Cleared this in a couple hours on pf, honestly was easier than the last one with the circle platform that shows where the cleaves will go. Didn't even see enrage once lol.
I think after P8S the devs just overcorrected all the future fights for the expansion, look at p12s enrage too

the fight is not as hard as lets say barb, but it is more punishing regarding how many party members are alive. which you know, people cant even do p5 devour right so yeah no wonder they are stuck at meteors. once you know the fight its easy, when you dont know the fight is hell trying to see what the hell is going on. rubicante is very easy you either just follow a dorito or manually use your brain, u get used to it after a few tries, with the hard part, again, being the party finder shenanigans on the limit cut. barbie is pretty simple but its very fast paced so a small mistake can snowball into that one guy with 6 vuln stacks, definitively hard to do in pf but at least she doesnt have many things that punishes you for having less people alive, and the rest were just very easy imo.

Ngl the amount of stuff that makes you want to take downtime is painful, I play PLD so it's easy mode at the right times but sometimes it's during goring blade and if that drifts it is the worst. Meant I greifed my group a bit in clearing it so that's a feels bad, not a fan of hindering the group and I just thought of the solution to it now, I simply need to push my first FoF forward 1 GCD and it'd probably make it a comfy fight

Xenos is pretty toxic going NW for flare instead of giving a dps that uptime. Makes sense since he kisses chat without permission.
Also, this fight is easy with less things to learn. Literally learn and clear it in pf in one lockout.
Well when he had flare, it was the MCH who had other flare so it was valid. The second one though, I agree.
You can give your tank cd to the other flare player. You can easy survive 2 flares with 30 % mit. They deal around 400 k magic and meeles even in 630 gear have 76 k hp

This is probably the easiest EX of the expac since hyd ex and zodi ex came out with ew launch, no idea wtf xenos is talking about. Hardest part about this fight was doing it with minimal sleep from doing other patch shit lmfao.

imo its one of easiest, idk.. easier than zodiark even. I am sleeping whole fight except during first and second gale. nothing happens for the rest of the fight. like nothing is challenging. even slash tankbusters are tickling and aren't doing any damage when taken naked
exa's - go corner/whatever the first aoe was, end of mechanic
towers and flares - flares don't go towers
and that's it. 50% of the fight is fking dodging front cleave and going behind after remembering he's gonna in->spread or out>stack
like the fight is turbo braindead and slow to me except the second gale which is a shot of adrenaline

The hardest EW trial? Id def put Barb above it. This trial is alright, post 40-35% there is no new mechs so it suffers from the endsinger problem. The fights better than Rubi, Endsinger, and Hydaelyn imo but man its def bland

@@erieplays8367 ??? Rubi had limit cut, barb stacked multiple mechanics up on top of each other, Hydaleyn had a new entire phase, and zodiark also stacked mechs up. Let alone a good bit of ShB fights having unique mechs (Dia LC, Hades phase transitions)

Hardest part of this fight is actually seeing shit on meteors.
Apart from that i get that this might be "hard" for blind progging and i wont say he is wrong. But once you have learned stuff the only mechanic i m actually awake now is gale2. Apart from that its a snoozefest. At least Barbie reclearing was fun, because of the fast pacing.
