just wanted to say CONGRATULATIONS on clearing The Minstrel's Ballad Redacted Call! (Redacted was harder day 1) I'm so glad you (Redacted was harder day 1) finished the extreme tier (Redacted was harder day 1) and earned a weapon to flex on the peasants (it was cooler day 1) and bis (that was more rare day 1)! I'm so proud (that it was more difficult day 1) that you cleared the trio of Sword, Dancer and Mage (but they were more fun day 1) and can use crystals to doge vulnerability stacks (but it didn't show a clear day 1)
BUT CONGRATS Madge
This fight is so well designed. I think it's one of my favorite fights in a video game.

@@XenosysVex ain't gonna lie, I'm gonna have to cop that UI Layout. Being a tank main, I try to keep my stuff neat and in their respective areas, but yours is a lot easier to access if it needs to be clicked. Nice

Serious question, how hard is this one compared to the other trial? Just finished the other one but I can't still wrap my head around the snakes mechanics.
Draw out on a physical piece of paper with 4 rows running across (as though there were 4 snakes).
Place it down on your table/floor/whatever depending on the orientation you want to test yourself (are the snakes runming north to south, or east to west?) Use any token as your character and place it where you think is safe, before rotating the paper 90 degrees clockwise/counter clockwise.
The only way you get better if you dont have good spatial memory is to actively try it out, hence the exercise above.

i'm new to ff14 (wow refugee) so i play tank and i picked warrior over glad and the ide was i would learn tanking in ff14 while working to unlock dark knight. only in stormblood but so far have played all 4 tanks and uh....i kinda like warrior more than drk......my ultimate goal is to play the tanks enough to unlock all the tank achievement mounts to make my final decision but its leaning warrior so far.
Makes sense, Dark Knight is pretty bad off right now, whereas Warrior is in a very strong position. It actually hurts to play my main in any content that matters because the divide is so keenly felt.
@@ZuzuPazuzu eeeh not really, it sucks defensively and it's a pain in the ass to tank heavy tank busters due to having to press way too many things to tank stuff (3 defensives minimum compared to other tanks that just need 2), but DRK's dmg is ridiculously high right now.
@@albertobarberacampos451 The damage being high is nice, but I'm gonna be honest and say that I just don't care. I'm playing DRK to *tank*, it being clunky defensively is an issue. Damage should be the icing on the cake, not a substitute.
@@ZuzuPazuzu DrK on other FF games always were the jobs where you sacrifice your health to do more damage. So that’s the course they’re going.
@@GabrielSeixas Except you're not sacrificing your health or doing anything so interesting, they're just making it feel completely obtuse to tank with how many defensive CDs you need to weave just to get decent mitigation. People need to stop defending clunky job design just because "it do big number tho"

Why the trial name in the title? 🤬 You realize many of us haven't been able to play and/or gotten this far in MSQ yet and the name of this is a huge spoiler, right? Not cool. Take a cue from every other creator and call it Trial #2 or whatever please.
why do you release this so late into the expac? who cares about a clear videos now when there are already guides out? i get that you gotta delay content to have videos to push every so often, but this was dumb.
