Which connector goes with the govee rgbww wifi light strip? And on the video the cut is on the copper piece however, on the strip it shows the scissor icon on the plan portion of the strip so where should the cut be?
I have bought one 32ft and one 16ft. I only need about half the 16ft strip. I understand it's not recommended to extend by splicing 2 strips together, but what if you only need to extend the 32 by about 8 to 10 feet? Not the whole 16ft?

Hello i have an issue with my govee rgbic led strips, so the issue is that when i want to connect them to corner connectors/adapters, (3 pole) everything fits, but these 3 poles on the connector doesnt really touch the led strip so it doesnt work, so i had to bend the adapter, so that worked well, i did it two times and then i did it a 3rd time and it worked but the contacts are so loose of the adapter so the other part of the led strip starts to flicker and yeah its doing some malfunctions because the adapter is so loose and it doesnt really fit well, and sometimes the other part of the strip just boom turns off then i have to touch the adapter again so then it works again, can you recommend me 3 pole adapters and connectors for my led strip

How do you link two different models together on the app to make the same colors?
If the end segment of the light strip is off color could we cut it down and still be able to use the lights?

I bought 1659 lights for my kitchen and cut to fit. I want to extend one section under the stove to a final short section of kick board. I know I can buy connector but can I buy a 30” wire with connectors on both ends?
The downside to cutting them is that in a certain music pattern the lights are designed to begin in the middle....but the middle changes when one end is trimmed.

I dont understand where to get those connectors? The govee led strip I bought is 6mm wide, but all the connectors I see everywhere are 10mm wide. Ive searched everywhere on amazon and I cant seem to find them. Can you direct me where to get those clips? Are there extenders? I need a gap because of a door so i need a way to continue on the other side. With my other 4pin connectors i ran the extension above the door, but i haven't seen anyway with the govee lights

I have the rgb ones and cut them when I finished what I was doing and now I have a decent amount left. So if I want to put the rest somewhere else what would I need to like do or get in order to that’s them turn on too?
You will need to get apdater and controller to help if you want to turn it on
Nice video! What if u have to make a cut and then run a few feet length behind a drywall or cabinet and then bring it back in to connect to another LED strip. So you have to use a 3 or 4 pin wire. What connectors do you use or do u have to solder the wire to the copper on the LED strip?

Where can i purchase govee connectors? And ones where i can add cables to different areas of unit i have govee 30 meter rgb bluetooth strip i wont be adding more lengh or lights i jist want to be able to use the 30 meter lenth supplied in different parts of the unit so no increase in power needed
I am trying to fit the end of one of these strips into a connector but the adhesive on the back side is keeping me from being able to fit it all the way into the connector. Any way to solve this?
I left a piece of the paper you pull off on the sticky part on the strip to help with that.

Wondering when will the 6117 model be out in the UK? Does this model come with one controller and y-splitter built in? If so does the 5m dreamcolor model come with splitter on the controller if I wanted to add 5m strip?just don't want too many power supplies.
Would be nice to have 20m of this with only one PSU and controller although they can be grouped I understand their pre addressed for controller so adding and splicing may hinder the look of pre programmed effects. Scalable RGBIC would be awesome and a remote(nothing fancy) just incase..

My lights have worked for ages, a new set turned up today, i set them up, used the new power supply etc, as soon as all connected to the app, the old lights start flashing ? Coincidence?

Hey I have a question I bought lights that are model:H6159 and I need to connect them together with a connector but I don’t know if you can cut these lights or not and what connector should I buy to connect the lights together.
H6159 can be cut into a short one if too long for you. but we don't recommend you to extend the strip to be a longer strip.To enjoy the best lighting, it comes with the settle output and gets safety verification for the product itself.

where can I buy the connectors
All connectors I have come across (L or T) are +, R, G & B. The LED strips are +, G, R & B. Therefore any L or T connection, only the blue works. I’ve tried swapping the the red and green wire but it has to be done at every connection point facing a certain way. If there were T’s and L connectors that swapped the red and green, life would be a little easier.
This is also my problem, but when shown in this video you can see that the letters on the 4 pin connect also do not match up, yet they seem to be working? So confusing.
Same issue here. I emailed govee and hopefully they’ll have a solution.
If you have not figured it out, the letters actually do not mean anything for the connectors. it is just a guide to make sure you connect the cut pieces in the same path as they originally were. The connectors are only a bridge between the two cut ends. As long as each contact matches the bridge in between doesn't matter by its label.

It depends. If a small part added, there should be no problem. If adding too long, it will weaken the lighting from the settled power. And please make sure you are talking about RGB strips but not DreamColor strips.
I got the connectors off eBay and they didn’t work but I flipped the connector around and put the copper connectors on top of the pins facing them. If that makes sense. But now they work

Appears to me that these connectors expose the contacts. Do you recommend taping them with electrical tape to maintain the waterproof-ness?

if you had 2 separate strips using 2 different power sources, could you control both strips as if it were 1 with the app?
You can creat a Scene to control them as a group on the app, but limits control for on/off, color and brightness. In the future, more features will be released when ready.

65.6ft strip light comes with two 32.8ft strips, you dont need to connect just install it to use. It can't be connected as a single strip, too long to be powered the best lighting from the settled adapter

DreamColor can not be cut or extended as wrote on the product page. Sorry to tell that there's no way to do what you said above.

You can control them as a group for on/off, colors and brightness control. However at this time, they work separately under specific mode. For example, if both are setting for Music Mode, the two strip lights may performs not entirely same colors based on the music. A little difference here.
In the video, it shows peeling back the plastic/rubber coating to join multiple lights. Does that work for the dream colour 16.5’ colour changing lights

If I split the led strips up do they have to be connected for both of them to work. For example if I want one part of the strip to be in one room and the other part to be in the other room will they both still work.
They have to be connected for both of them to work, that means if you split the light strip, the one part strip connected to the power supply will work.
So I've got the govee h6-117 led wifi strip, 20 meters. I was wondering if there was a way to get into the core coding of the app so that I could program in my own settings. I want to be able to control LEDs on a very complex level, the receiver is definitely more than capable of producing more complex lighting effects. The potential for this is huge.

GOVEE I just got them but I cut them thinking the other side I cut would turn on but they didn’t, so I have a very long strip of LEDs that don’t turn on, is there anything I can do? Can I make the other side turn on?
Can you please tell us which item you got? And how long is the strip?
How am I supposed to do this with the new strip design? It doesn't even have visible contacts, and I'm not even sure whether it can be cut since the instructions say nothing on the subject. You've also reduced the width so that connectors like those in this video no longer fit.

This video is for corner connection but not for extension. For your concern, RGB strips are 4-pin and DreamColor 3-pin. You can find connectors from other sellers on Amazon
I bought thre RGB 32 ft lights and want to trim mine to perfet fit, but mine dont seem to have a cut line like these do. I am sure I bought the normmal RGB lights and NOT the wifi ones but im still nervous to cut them

U can only do that with RGBIC/dreamcolor lights. RGB don’t provide that or u have to buy another RGB led strip

To make sure you can enjoy the lighting features as advertised, we would recommend you to use it in the way it comes. Connecting as a super long single strip will break the voltage balance, not working good.

If you want to cut one strip to use in several places, sure, you need to get new power sources to power them up.

Better not, we would recomend you to use them individually to enjoy the advertising lighting featrues. If you do that, the light would not perform good. Check more comments under this video if necessary.
How many Rolls of lights do you think one outlet can handle? Be I bot one 32ft and one 16ft because my room is 50ft and I am wondering if that can all be in one outlet.
I think you are asking a question about connecting strips as others doing here. Every product comes with its adapter, you need to install and power the light with individual power supply. That's the way to enjoy the best lighting features as advertised. But connecting strips won't work.
