Thanks so much for this tutorial. I used to play for worship services years ago and the keyboard went into the garage on a top shelf .. Cleaned it up and tried to remember how to program it. After watching your tutorial the cob webs started to get clean out of my head. God Bless you !!
Athanas. Hi! I have lost the internal battery with all the sounds except GM and I can not put them from a PC, (the keyboard does not indicate that it is receiving data) so I wanted to fix the disk drive. The connection works fine because I send notes from the PC to the keyboard and they sound. Also if I play the keyboard I see the notes on the PC. Sending Sysex from the keyboard to the PC also works. In all cases in the USB cable the LEDs light up so I see that the data is sent from and to the keyboard, however it does not recognize them when sending them from the PC (it does not even show on the screen that sysex data is being received) . I think it is a problem with the configuration of the keyboard or the PC software. I am using Midiox on the PC. As for the keyboard, I have followed the instructions in the manual regarding the configuration of the Global mode (filters, memory protection, etc.) but there is no way. I've tried changing the delay and buffer size and it doesn't work either. Can you please help me?
Great haircut! :D I had a Korg X3 in the 90s and I loved it, I made many songs with that synth! My first demotape was almost done with just a Korg X3, also with a Yamaha PSR-500 :)
The Korg X3 is fantastic! The first synthesizer I bought in 90s! It's great for pad sounds but also for guitar sounds, bass sounds, synth sounds and many more! I made some songs with that synth! :)
Impressive mullet and shoulder pads. Brings me back. Also due to the recording, his eyes and skin are the same color. He looks like a Hanna-Barbera cartoon character :) He's a good demo guy, though.
My very 1st workstation synth, purchased in 1996. Doesn't get much use these days, but it's one of the oldest pieces of my growing museum, haha. Thanks for posting!
This is the first professional synth I've ever bought and I love it. I still have to sort out how to adapt a diskette drive into it, but It's got a few of the best patches I've ever listened to. And that is why I think I personally can get lots out of it even now. Good for you if you still keep yours. 😃
Hi, got a question, We just bought this piece used and we're wondering if it's possible to reset every single edit and change that has been done by preowners to the X3's original settings. As in the settings that exist when bought new. If anyone knows pls hmu, thx!

Hi, Jyde. Yes the information applies to those keyboards you mentioned. The only different i have noticed is that the this keyboard have less sound banks - only three and the N364 has five.

Abel Zevallos Montes doesn't the MIDI to USB cable make the diskette drive unnecessary?
Well I can say that it still could be used today. Many of the sounds are still quite actual.
Me too! I have one of these sitting in my studio storage space.
nice hair cut!
