The Viking Challenge - Viking Sword by Harpia Knives

Welcome, everyone!
This sword and this video were made especially for #thevikingchallenge, a challenge between bladesmiths on UA-cam that I was very happy to be invited to. Also watch the other challenge videos!
Furthermore, this piece had a meaning of overcoming and companionship for me, as I had my workshop robbed right before starting it, tools and electrical wiring stolen, and if it weren't for the help of many friends I wouldn't have been able to deliver it in time. . Among them my professor Alexandre Lemes, who provided space in his workshop where I learned a good part of what I know so that I could work. I dedicate this piece to all these people and their generosity.
I named the sword "Litli Úlfur", which means "little wolf". I planned for it to be bigger and for some different details, but I adapted it as much as possible to save time, and one of these adaptations was a smaller blade, which in addition to less work on it would not require me to build a larger forge. When I arrived at my friend's house, I immediately saw the puppy that appears in the video and I thought about wolves, and she was a constant presence, so the sword started to be called that. "It is not the size of the wolf in the fight that matters, but the size of the fight in the wolf."
Its blade is 6mm thick and 50mm wide and was forged with 1075 and 15n20 steel in a twisted pattern. The guard and pommel are made of bronze. The handle, made of wood and covered with stingray skin, is finished in damascus steel and has brass pins, as well as the tip of the scabbard. The sword is 630mm in total.

Essa espada e esse vídeo foram feitos especialmente para o #thevikingchallenge , um desafio entre bladesmiths no UA-cam ao qual fiquei muito feliz em ser convidado. Assistam também aos outros vídeos do desafio!
Além disso essa peça teve um significado de superação e companheirismo para mim, pois tive minha oficina roubada logo antes de iniciá-la, ferramentas e fiação elétrica roubadas, e se não fosse a ajuda de muitos amigos não teria condições de entregá-la em tempo. Entre eles meu professor Alexandre Lemes, que cedeu espaço em sua oficina onde aprendi boa parte do que sei para que eu pudesse trabalhar. Dedico essa peça a todas essas pessoas e à sua generosidade.
Nomeei a espada como "Litli Úlfur", que significa "pequeno lobo". Planejei ela maior e alguns detalhes diferentes, mas adaptei o máximo possível para ganhar tempo, e uma dessas adaptações foi uma lâmina menor, que além de menos trabalho nela não me exigiria a construção de uma forja maior. Ao chegar na casa do meu amigo logo vi a filhote que aparece no vídeo e pensei em lobos, e ela foi uma presença constante, então a espada passou a se chamar assim. "Não é o tamanho do lobo na luta que importa, mas o tamanho da luta no lobo."
Sua lâmina tem 6mm de espessura e 50mm de largura e foi forjada com os aços 1075 e 15n20 no padrão torcido. A guarda e o pomo são feitos de bronze. A empunhadura feita de madeira e recoberta com pele de arraia, tem acabamento em aço damascus e pinos em latão, bem como a ponta da bainha. A espada tem no total 63cm.
