Harpia Knives - Integral Keyhole With Guard

Welcome!
In this video I bring you a knife that is difficult to make, but with a very unique appearance and composition.
This hunter has a keyhole style handle with an integral guard, which means that all metal parts are made up of a single piece. Don't be fooled by the video editing, I spent long hours manually filing and sanding every corner to get a good finish.
Regarding the handle fitting, which was filled with buffalo horn, I can say that I find it fascinating, because in addition to being very elegant, it has an ingenious way in which the metal part compensates for the efforts that the filling would make, absorbing them.
In short, we have a very robust and elegant knife using only steel and a horn.

Nesse vídeo trago uma faca trabalhosa de se fazer, mas de aparência e composição bastante únicas.
Essa hunter tem a empunhadura no estilo keyhole com guarda integral, o que significa que todas partes metálicas são compostas por uma única peça. Não se engane pela edição do vídeo, gastei longas horas limando e lixando manualmente cada cantinho para ter um bom acabamento.
Sobre o encaixe da empunhadura, que foi preenchido com chifre de búfalo, posso dizer que acho fascinante, porque além de muito elegante ele tem uma genialidade na forma onde a parte metálica compensa os esforços que o preenchimento faria, absorvendo-os.
Em síntese temos uma faca muito robusta e elegante com o uso de apenas aço e crifre.
