The cracks in the latex likely were not there before you attempted to move him.
If hardened like glass, always lay them on a (not too hot) radiator or warm up by hairdryer at medium heat (seal him in a transparent PE/PP plastic bag first because oxygen or water combined with heat hurt latex) to soften the gel. You may also heat them in warm water, but I would always use a plastic bag to prevent direct water contact (which may turn latex brown and rot to mush later). Too much water or any oil in the gel makes latex decompose.
I removed the gel of my Mr.Fantastic and installed a spring loaded bicycle valve inside his head (with tiny head hole for a ball pump nozzle) to add some air.

Yep the holes weren't there before, but luckily I managed to fix them. The holes were caused by the syrup was that hardened and became sharp when breaking, which was a pretty stupid way of damaging it ngl. Luckily I managed to fix them and it seems to stretch exactly like it used to before! Your way of fixing it is also really nice, but I honestly just wanted one which was as close to the original, that's why I refilled it. Though I was actually thinking of getting a second one to also just fill with air (or stuffing), since it'll be waaaaay easier to keep one like that in good condition!

@@beauner4627 And never mouth-inflate anything precious of latex - the trapped moisture and mouth germs make it rot. Ozon or the combination of daylight (UV) and oxygen makes latex decompose (cracks and turns white), so when not in use, store them in dry state in an airtight PE/PP plastic bag in a dark place. Also overinflation hurts latex (and can cause some sorts to decompose), so don't put them away in overinflated or otherwise overfilled state. Apply silicone oil or corn starch to stop stickiness (not talc - the dust causes lung damage and can make allergic against the latex). Latex dissolves by contact with oils or plasticizers, so do not store latex figures in touch or the the same box like TPE stretch toys (like GooJitZu or Wubble and even modern Stretch Armstrongs - they have much thicker and softer skin) those are soaked with plasticizer oil.
I meditate with latex inflatables; many of them are several decades old and still alive.

@@AerialTheShamen you seem to know an awful lot about the stretch figures topic. I'd say feel free to create your own video on how to repair or keep them in great condition, and I'll shout it out in one of the next videos I'll make about the topic. 👌
It's good to hear what I could've done better, but I sadly can't do much with the tips you've given me since it's already been done 😬 (especially with the fixing part, I'm on a tight budget so ain't got the money to fully recoat them and whatnot)
