In 2016, he called me up and said he'd just bought a station out on the Darling river, and would I like to come over and help move things out there? Keep in mind, I hadn't heard from him in 35 years, or more. I said of course. When I got off the plane in Sydney, I finaly vaugly remembered who he was. He is a wool broker, and very succesful. Their home place is between Dubbo and Orange, and he also has a station at Brewarnia. He put me in a 24 ft flatbed truck, and after a trip to the station at Tilpa, I started on my own. We had a stock crate we could put on as well, so I was either hauling cows or sheep, or supplies to Tilpa or Bre. Watching your videos has really made me want to go back. I was there for 6 months, minus the 2 weeks I spent in NZ. I'm hoping to go back over a year from now, buy a Ute, outfit it with spare petrol tanks and some way to carry water, throw my swag and whatnot on, and travel. You also asked about coffee machines, we recently moved to a Belman stove top expresso and cappuccino machine. Only needs a heat source and removes the need for electricity. Worth a look if you like flat white coffee.
Thanks, we will have a look at it. The diesel stove takes a while to heat up, and stays hot for a while after switching it off, we would prefer something electric, as we have a 240V inverter, but can only use about 1500W continuously, and about 4000W for five min. Looks good for out outside stove, as gas heats up quick.

Sue and I loved this videos guys… can’t believe how the crane turned into the beautiful vehicle you have now… we’ll done and liked the out takes
Thanks Bill, there were plenty more Outtakes, but they may have involved some bad words 😀
Very ingenious; very impressive!
Thank you
Well Done. Nice to have the talent/skills to have done so much of your own work. Thanks for the tour.
Interesting point you made that the overhead cupboards contributed to the sense of claustrophobia in the cabin & how much of a difference it made to not have them. Good to know. To date I have designed 2 different overlanding cabins and know intenitely how what you thought might work may not after living with it for a stretch.
Happy Travels
Thanks Terry, whilst our truck is small, it feels a lot bigger than most of the larger trucks as people try to put way too much furniture inside. Safe travels as well.
Such a well planned out truck. Thanks for sharing
