- I'm starting a new craft today.... one I am revisiting after more than 2 decades... so I'm super excited! This is a Latch Hook Rug Kit by WonderArt called "Butterfly Moon". I think this will be fun! Join me, won't you? :)

I'm a kid and I recently got one of these, and they are so fun!
I have completed two latch hook kits.
5 completed. Cushions are useful for me. My 18" and larger pillows are floor pillows and are pictorial. My 12" and 14" pillows are my back, head and foot pillows.
Looks like fun! I haven’t done this in probably over 25 years as well. I hope you will show updates as you go🙂

I Love Dog the bounty hunter and Dr. Pimple popper too lol I have done one latch hook kit before it was a big Winnie the Pooh rug. That was several years ago but I have enjoyed watching you do yours. Don't think I will do one so big again. You chose a very pretty picture and it looks like you're doing fine to me. I found working on it over the edge of the table really helped and weighing down the bit on the table so it didn't slip. The row I worked on would be the one hanging over the edge. Mine kit had separate packets for each colour. Never seen it packaged that way before. Sorry for the long message but you're doing well and I enjoyed watching!
You must have purchased a kit from a different company. It's been so long since my first one that I don't remember how it was packaged. Thanks for watching though! I think these kits can be fun as well! As for tv shows...not everyone agrees, but it's nice to know someone likes some of the same ones I do. :)

How i did the latchhook pattern instead of doing straight across. I went up. Completing each square and it was easier for me to follow. You cant make off black so counting helps. I laid out each row ahead of time and marked and double checked. That is my tip. I wish I had taped the edged. Wonder art is great
Insert hook in squares above the blue line not below. It will throw the thing off. I used a flat sm screw driver to undo mistakes.
Look at the chart. Start at the bottom of the canvas, on the right hand sides of the canvas and proceed across.
You start left lower corner and go right.
Do I fill the blue line or I should keep it empty

The butterfly moon rug hook and did you start the second or third blue line.? I just received one from my mom.
I don't remember. It was a new hobby start for me, & ater we had a house emergency the rug kit got displaced. I hope to post a new 'With Me' video soon!

How to make patterns for latch hook rug
I don't know exactly, but I suppose if you had a large supply of yarn that could match to dmc colors, you could take cross stitch patterns & kind of follow along with them. Or you could just freehand a design on canvas. Might be a fun undetaking. :)
I was wondering if you could send me a picture of the colors. My client has everything but the instruction page. She didn't know what color is what on the page and it came in black and white.

U started in the wrong spot. Ur supposed to start with the first line ABOVE THE BLUE.
Ok....that was what was confusing! Do you put the yarn ON the blue line or the line ABOVE it? Because the instructions say ABOVE IT....but if you need 10 you have to put it ON the blue line.....it's BETTER when the pattern is PRE PRINTED on the grid....like the good old days!😊
Yes, I was a little confused by the original comment, but it will turn out okay. As long as I can count to 10!! lol I don't remember the first kit I did because it's been so long ago, but I'm pretty sure it had to be pre-gridded, because I wouldn't have followed a pattern when I was that young! ;)
