Anne Nelson: As an aside: It's the same in German. The soldiers in the World War I novel, "All Quiet on the Western Front" were elated to have "haricots" in the trenches to eat. But unlike French, every letter is pronounced.

I have done green beans like this for a while now. I haven't used garlic before in it, so, I'll have to try adding that. I saw another recipe video where they grated the garli,, so I tried it! You get a LOT more garlic taste that way!

French lesson: do not pronounce the "h" in "haricot" and do not pronounce the final consonants in either word.
So you get something that sounds like "airy coe vair..."
