you want to really test the dedication and willingness to be obedient? ask that the members give up their sodas and processed foods. i can guarantee you that one cup of coffee a day is far less unhealthy than a can of soda a day, or an energy drink, or 90% of any "faithful" members' dietary intake. restricting coffee and moderate alcoholic drinks is just another opportunity to elevate members of the LDS faith above the rest of the world, set them apart and make them feel like they excel.
