Thanks Dawn. Some camper conversion companies are NCC approved but you don't to be and we don't intend to as we are already heavily focused on quality and service and have lots of 5* reviews to back it up, so don't feel we need their approval.
Thanks for your comment. You do not have to do 60 miles an hour on the motorway in a SWB commercial vehicle. As a camper it still weighs under 3 tonnes and is seen the same as any other SWB van. Being a commercial vehicle on the V5 makes no difference to speed limits on the motorway, but there is a speed restriction for medium sized vans on dual carriage ways, regardless of whether it's just a van or has been converted. So it's 60 mph on dual carriage ways for all medium size vans, Transporters & Transits etc.
I dont intend to cook inside a camper when I get one. Can you convert one but without a sink, a water tank, a cooker, and all the plumming. If you do, how will this change prices? Thank
Hi, thanks for your comment. A fine will be issued if the vehicle is not ULEZ compliant. It's got nothing to do with being a panel van, If your van is Euro 5 then you will get fined.
There are no speed restrictions on motorways for Transporters, regardless of being a commercial vehicle or camper. Speed restrictions are only applicable on dual carriage ways for medium sized vans.
@@bicycleadventures2133 we don't cover the cost of future checks and maintenance. It's all done before our customers collect their camper and then its down to the owner to maintain it like any other vehicle.
@@bicycleadventures2133 yes we should have covered that, an annual gas check is around £120 which gives you a 12 month certificate, that's really the main thing to check annually. Other things like the electrics can be checked by any leisure vehicle company or we can do that for our customers for a small charge. But unless something is wrong it's not necessary.
Great information as always.
Just a quick question do all vans have to be NCC and VW approved.

My VW California 2022 is classed as M1 same as a car.
Speed limits are different on a leisure vehicle versus a commercial vehicle, for example dual carriage ways 70mph for leisure v 60mph commercial van

@ yeah agreed on Motorways it's 70, it's just the dual carriage ways where you're restricted unlike motor homes

Hi Mike, we only do full camper conversions, or a day van which has a bed, pop top, storage, heater, electrics.
I stopped watching it due to the music in the background
Thanks for letting us know! 😂
hi it doe's if you go through a emission zone i got a £70 fine from sheffield council last month because of the panel van status

I thought speed limits was the main V5 bugbear. 🤔

Do you not need an annual hab check with these vans?
Yes, we recommend a check over every 12 months, especially the gas.
I’m guessing that’s an extra cost which you would do?

I think there’s a misunderstanding. The video is about running cost, but annual hab check wasn’t mentioned, unless I missed it, thats’ all. :-)
