No ideal opponent try to attack but skul cracker flying knee from nowhere closed to opponent face after quick move back. Opponent will retire early if land on... Michael Page should being champion but very frustrated and disappointed he lost at the final. But for me, Michael the VENOM Page is a champion for the whole time. It happens sometimes...
      On paper if you're looking at just wins and losses Randy Couture looks to have a mediocre career that doesn't properly reflect his accomplishments either so it's only when you look at a career through the lens of taking everything into consideration and actually watching all of his fights that you realize he actually crushed it and is one of the best to ever step into the octagon because let's face it is 16 and 8 career looks pretty unremarkable on the surface until you dig deeper and take into consideration all of his opponents along with his age when he started and all the other contributing factors

    • @jlichman1046
      @jlichman1046 Рік тому

      @@Rob337_aka_CancelProof Honesty Randy was average... He fought in a time where his wrestling could win him fights. The caliber back then was far lower. His striking was pretty bad and it literally looked like you took a wrestler and threw him in with no other training. That's kinda how all the fights back then looked lol. Until Chuck and Rampage and all those guys came it was pretty sloppy in there lol

    • @Rob337_aka_CancelProof
      @Rob337_aka_CancelProof Рік тому +1

      @@jlichman1046 you can't look at these guys in hindsight and judge them based on today's Talent and the man was in his forties when he started and like everything else it's the level of the people you compete against that determine how much of your potential is realized. When I was playing two man beach volleyball my partner and I played two other guys every Sunday for five or six hours and I don't think we won one game for a couple of months they just kept handing us their asses over and over and over again. They gave us with tips and they were traveling around the country playing in tournaments and we were just two guys who like to get together and play on the weekends but we saw our level go way up real fast so I'm willing to bet if Randy was 30 and just starting now his career would have been very different due to nothing other than the level of competition available because steel sharpens Steel. He had tremendous work ethic and determination or he wouldn't have been competing in so many triathlons. He always trains diligently and shied away from no one even when he should have like in the case of Brock Lesnar or Shane Carwin. I suppose we'll just have to agree to disagree because having said that I'm going to have to double down on my previous comment

    It's that unusual, unorthodox combat that, combined with the stylin', throws his targets off their game. It's technically an excellent way to psyche out your opponent whilst simultaneously entertaining the crowd - something Ali was also famous for with the dropped hands, smack talk and dance-like footwork.

      You can't compare Muhammad Ali with this idiotic and disrespectful clown. Ali was not bad, and was respectful with the opponent at the end of each match, complete with congratulations as a true sportsman. It was amazing seeing one of three of my greatest mma fighters here. Yes, MVP, in my book, is truly that G.O.A.T. among my top three along with Izzy and Jon Jones. I indeed have those three as my top three and it is surely my right to do so.

      It's because abnormal to what they are used to , you could argue it's his style it's all part of it , it makes him unpredictable you can really train against it , it shows his skill though because you need to be good to pull it off and make it work it natural to him and he has the speed and dexterity to make it work , we have all seen a showboat get sunk and that because they are a regular fighter showing off where what he is doing is a fighting style he created that works for him

    MVP's boxing abilities make me think of Naseem Hamed. he had a similar style of boxing. very nonchalant, very convinced of himself, really picking the spot to hit, looking for an unusual finish or hit which some would not expect. no throwing punches in a direction and hoping that some will stick.

    It's a shame when the fighter is on an amazing winning streak, people turn on them for 1 or 2 losses. Such a fanboy culture in MMA. This shit didn't happen when Chuck, Randy, and the other greats were fighting. Great video as always.

    There are , generally, Two kinds of fighters. Those that despise winning on a technicality and those that train to win on a technicality.
    Even a TKO isn't as favorable as a KO, but that's my opinion. If one is looking to boost records a TKO is a win. But if you want to be a beast You gotta knock em out every time or at least make it look like they should be knocked out.

    I've always seen Michael Venum Page as the Chad Ochocinco Johnson of MMA. Sure, there may have been a couple better athletes at their game, but they're both very entertaining showmen who can usually back everything up. When they're on screen, you don't want to miss it. They're even built very similar and look oddly similar, lol.

    Lima took away Mikes MVP status... That was a well executed leg sweep move and followed by the on the button jaw connection. 👏🏾 2nd fight MVP did redeemed himself but Lima was probably the only compatible fighter he faced.
    That second lost was bogus, Logan didn't do enough mixing it up to convince other wise. But, judges like making a big deal over take downs, but once down wasn't much happening. MVP haters perhaps lol
