I would argue it works better, other than the fact that shots hurt more. Which applies to all the fighters. He doesn’t have to worry about takedown , blocking is pretty nonexistent in bare knuckle fighting something he is already a custom to, but if he gets hit he is less likely to get knocked bare knuckle then in gloves.

Sure, if your only counting face shots. In the clinch perry was going crazy and scoring a lot of body shots which is where i think prople are getting confused about how it was scored. If you land 10 body shots in 10 seconds and the rest of the round your opponent lands 9 face shots you still win the round.

I agree from a traditional boxing standpoint BUT I have to say Perry controlled the ring the entire time. I don’t know if that’s as aspect the judges use. Also thought during the initial rounds at least MVP got a lot of dirty shots to the back of the head and hands to the face. Perry may have pushed or head butted MVP as well. MVP was doing a fantastic Mayaeather impression but using a TKD stance 😂

So then let's say the judges had him win just 1 other round, that's 3 points each and he definitely won the overtime round due to cardio. After hearing about this fight and finally getting around to watching it I was very surprised to see how it was scored. I thought MVP won 4 out of 5 rounds. I feel like Mike got a real gift with the draw but he definitely made the most of it in round 6

I think they scored it in Perry's favor just due to knock-down early in a first round. However I would say MVP was causing more dmg and controlled the fight. His dodging abilities and movement seemed to me superior over a Perry.

I think the draw was reasonable. Mike took the first round with a knockdown, mvp took the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, and mike came back for the 5th. The real determining factor was that mvps knockdown in the 2nd was ruled a slip, which was a bad call imo.

Perry rocking that old school fighting irish stance and technique. Perry can tell MVP doesn't throw a lot of body shots so he leaves the body open so he can roll the forward hand over when MVP throws his right hand and Perry uses his elbow on that forehand to frame MVP out and gives himself an opening to throw that right hand. It's the classic bareknuckle style you see in all the old photos.

MVP definitely won this fight, the draw call was a sympathy call to give Perry another chance, and even in that 6th round I'd say MVP was ahead until the final last few seconds. My guess is they gave it to Perry since that's their golden boy

Perry rocking that old school fighting irish stance and technique. Perry can tell MVP doesn't throw a lot of body shots so he leaves the body open so he can roll the forward hand over when MVP throws his right hand and Perry uses his elbow on that forehand to frame MVP out and gives himself an opening to throw that right hand. It's the classic bareknuckle style you see in all the old photos.
I'm rewatching the fight and still as shocked as I was the first time, how was this a draw I'll never know MVP dominated the whole 5 rounds, the 6th round Mike finished strong so its understandable, but it should have never went there to begin with. Kudos to both regadless.

Rd 1 goes to Perry. Rd 5 some people ‘might’ give that one to Perry if they were Mike Perry fans. But I have absolutely no idea how anyone could have watched rounds 2,3, and 4 of that fight and thought Perry won any of those rounds. I also believe that MVP won round 5 but I can see how some people might give it to Perry.
The 10-8 round 1 for Perry caused the draw. Its simple math really
