- Vehicles are coming to Planet Crafter and they are great. In this video we have a look at what is coming in the next free update and it looks great with rovers and 2 new biomes.
Planet Crafter is a first person, space, survival, crafting game. You have been sentenced to terraform a planet for the crimes that you have committed.

lol, had to giggle about the mammals pushing the car! So, when you can't find where you parked your car, might not be your fault after all

it's reat update and very helpful tool in early terraforming stage (before teleporters and drones), but it's also very bugged, e.g. car is dissapearing underground or has weird inputs reading (suddenly randomly turning wheels or not responsing for keys...)
We had a few issues with it on our livestream. The devs have some bugs to sort out before it is released on the stable branch. Thanks for watching.

I can already imagine people in CO-OP making tracks with the new foundations and ramps with the existing foundations and people taking the vehicles out for a spin lol...

In my defense, I was trying to recover from an horrific crash.
Any update adding stuff is good. XD. I would have preferred a kind of hovercraft, since drones have the tech (and avoid misleading wheel behavior). Did not test the rover in lava.
I will check out the lava. You are safe in the vehicle in the toxic water, so there is that.
Be interesting to see if you get the jet pack or the car first, cos once I’ve got the t2 jet pack a lot of the upgrades for the car looked like they require stuff that comes later in the game like zeolite and although it looks cool I can see myself not using it once I’ve built it especially having to get in and out the car to gather resources when I can just fly with jet pack and gather quicker
I like the extra storage on the vehicle so you don't have to return to the base as often when you are resource hunting.
@@surtrplays everyone has a base in every biome, usually near the wreck they loot. i think its only youtubers who build mega bases
T1 jet pack unlocks at blue sky, same as T4 Backpack.

Sorry for likely a silly question - I am not a usual gamer but LOVE Planet Crafter. I am playing through Steam and wondering how do you get the new updates?
The update is currently only available on the development branch. It should be available in the stable branch fairly soon. If you are in a hurry and willing to risk it, you can change to the development branch by right clicking on the game in Steam, clicking on Properties and then on Betas. Then select the development branch from the dropdown menu. If you are going to do that, be sure to back up your saves or they may become corrupted.

More space is certainly a good thing.

Can you take the vehicle through the portal? Jump it into the portal? Or put it in you pack then build it when you go through?
No idea. I will have to test that.
It does not go through the portal. You get pulled out and it leaves it behind. But you can pack it and take it with you.
I'm curious to know what you did in the game to get the wild grown trees to be different from the ones I get. Is it affected by what you've got in your tree spreaders?
Yes, it is affected by what you plant in some areas. Its the same for butterflies, fish and frogs.

There are the portal that offer something different. And there are also 2 new biomes to investigate.
I've been making lots of iron 'bridges' over water because I'm such a rotten driver in water ;D
Well, that is one way to solve the problem.
Hello, is this game optimized? Because when I built more structures in the game, the FPS dropped more and more. Is this a new update for that i mean the car
The game was optimized at version 1.0. I don't think it will get better than that. You don't need that many machines anymore with the optimizers and fuses.

I've begun to wonder if we can take the rover into the portals to help navigate the larger ones.
If the drones will empty the inventory it might even be feasible to use it to carry stuff to a certain extent while there...?
You can't drive them through the portal but you can pack them up and take the to the other side. If you leave them there when you close the portal, you lose them. That is how it currently works.

I've also discovered that your way of upgrading the equipment slot [removing chips first] is the only way because I forgot and took out the tier one equipment chip and lost my oxygen chip among some others.

where can i get this upgrade (newbie PC gamer)
Right click on the game in Steam and open properties. Go to Beats and choose the development branch from the dropdown. Make sure you back up your save. Or you can just wait for the update to be released into the stable branch in the next couple of weeks.

I think you should make a video starting from scratch showing at exactly what point things now unlock. I would do it myself, But no..

The infinite underwater oxygen is nice, but I doubt it will help in the Cenote.
The Water Life Collector has always been an Oxygen unlock.

I think The new vehicle is great
The jetpack did not have enough speed to reach the destination. It would take a long time. Also, the new vehicle has more features than the jetpack
I don't know whether to call this a positive point or a funny point, but this car counts as one iridium stone in the inventory.
This shows that the imagination of the creator of this game is beyond the imagination of the late Nikola Tesla😂😂😂😂
And I have nothing to say about the new biome and the new letter

How can I upgrade the vehicle station? I am stuck at the tier 1
The vehicle station only has one level. You need blueprint chips to unlock the upgrades for the vehicle.

No, the there is stuff in the inventory you can't grab it.

personally i do not see the need for a vehicle the map is to small for that and with the teleporters it's pretty much useless
The vehicle is available much earlier than the teleporters. It is a big inventory that you can drive around.

This game just gets nerfed more and more every update. Glad i reverted back to 0.9 something, never buy your games from steam folks!
