- Despite a campaign build around trying to shame people into not playing Hogwarts Legacy. However that campaign has dramatically failed as the early access on consoles saw people flock to play the game. However the virtue signalling has only just begun.

I remember the publisher wanted to abbreviate her name because they thought no one would by a book written by a woman. And when it came out it WAS a woman behind the books, it was all over the news. This…this inspired me as a young girl to write myself. My how times have changed. I’m playing because I’ve been a lifelong fan of Harry Potter. My 10-year-old heart is so ecstatic to be getting my Hogwarts letter 25 years later!

Hogwarts Legacy seems to be a good litmus test on journalistic integrity and professionalism (at least when it comes to game reviews).
This game did absolutely nothing to warrant the "too dirty to be named" treatment.

I have been playing video games since the early 80s and this game is quite possibly the best looking game I have ever seen. Alot of time and love for the Harry Potter world went into this game.

James Dreyfus (who I know mostly as constable goody from "the thin blue line") had a similar situation happen when he expressed his views on the subject. At one point he played an early incarnation of the Master for Big Finish Doctor who stories, then he spoke about his view of transgenderism, was dropped from the Multi-Master story "Masterful", and was never hired by Big Finish after that. I've seen him in interviews and the guy is as sweet and nice as they come, he's a gentleman. being blacklisted and hated for having opposing views on the transgender subject has just gotten out of hand now and its ridiculous.
I'm looking forward to playing it as soon as my deluxe edition copy is ready to play.

It's like the bartender from cyberpunk, an interesting character you can interact with if you want to but otherwise just another character in the background of the game. As long as it doesn't spit woke stuff throughout the game then it should be fine. Though if it's like forspoken's dialogue and gameplay, that I've seen online, then I'm refunding it.
Though I do kinda understand that trans could be a thing in magical worlds because you could use magic to change yourself like that instead of surgery. I'm sure wizards and witches would be curious to at least try it. I know I'd try it to see what I'd look like then go back to normal. It's the same world as the polyjuice potion, so there's a huge chance people in relationships used them to see how it is from the other's point. Wouldn't you be at least a little curious to see what you'd look like if you could without fear of it being dangerous or permanent?

I think you don't understand that the whole point of fighting against the woke agenda is exactly by buying this game since all the wokesters have conspired against it. If we as gamers chose to boycot an overall well made game just for some woke parts here and there, we'll basically side with the woke mob and give them exactly what they want. And what they want is for this game to fail. We cannot let them have their way and play into their fukked up agenda! That's why it's absolutely necessary to support this passionate project and get the message across that all that woke outrage from self-entitled individuals on Twitter has no weight and no power when the gamers, the REAL target audience, unite and approve a game they like. Maybe that's gonna give more devs the courage to stop pandering to those losers who won't be buying their games anyway and actually to start focusing on the actual gamers and their interests. There needs to be a first spark starting somewhere in order for it to ignite a real fire eventually.

The game itself is loads of fun so far. My only complaint is issues with the frame rate in the PC version
